This is Jericho's new gimmick when he comes back: "Everyone is ripping me off! I'm the only original left in WWE!" That would be golden.

I guess Jericho must be frustrated with Ric Flair as well.
He's been "stealing" the Nature Boy gimmick for how many years now? Hmm...

You don't remember that video of them and Maryse hanging out? I think its just teasing. Yeah, I think they're actually good buddies and Jericho just loves ripping on him. As for the interview, it seems to me that Jericho's angling to come back as a heel immediately and not do a "face by default because he's back" run to start off. People will cheer him as a face when he comes back, whether he wants them to or not.

I have no idea if he's kayfabing or not here. On one hand saying everyone from Punk to Mason Ryan to Sin Cara to Kelly Kelly is ripping him off is hilarious and definitely not serious. But then again, Miz seriously does rip off a TON from Jericho, including that troglodyte bit. So I could imagine Jericho being (rightfully) angry that Miz does a bad Jericho impersonation and gets a major push. I don't think Miz is trying to be like Jericho. I think Miz's character, and Jericho's character are actually opposites. Yes, both characters wear suits, but Jericho wore suits to distance himself from his former loud, brash and flashy Y2J persona, while the Miz wears suits to BE loud, brash and flashy. Jericho made a complete 180 with his character, while The Miz for the most part, has kept the same persona with the only REAL change being his wardrobe.

If anything, people take elements from Jericho. But Jericho took elements of all kinds of wrestlers, from HBK to Owen Hart to Chris Benoit. His back turned/arms outstretched pose was lifted directly from Michael Jackson. I would never say Jericho is an HBK clone, and I'd never say Miz is a Jericho clone.
I think he's kaybabin.

Miz's ring gear looks totally inspired by the srs Jericho collection.

It has to be a work, unless Jericho just woke up one day and decided he wanted to be a bitter jackass. Yeah, it seems that way, I'm just not sure why he's doing it. It's not like they WWE can sell a feud on his return based on "that guy stole my gimmick and moves!". In kayfabe, it wouldn't make sense.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't care if Jericho comes back or not. I was pretty tired of him. I don't hate him, but I have no desire to see him return.

He should get rid of his SRS persona and burn his suit in a trash can, or has somebody else already come up with that idea?

I really think it's just Jericho screwing around to get people talking. I guess he realized that nobody would believe him if he pretended he was going to TNA again.
