Yeah, I'll give him this one. Oh wow... uh.... dang. I thought he was joking when he said Mason Ryan (how would a big dumb slab of beef who can barely wrestle and talk rip off Jericho?) but he's right. Wow.

I can't see Mason Ryan's minitron without thinking of Chrono Trigger.
Also, while we're at it Christian stole Jericho's gimmick of being a whiny bitch.

I like Jericho but this is just sad. Is he really that full of himself that he thinks he invented wearing suits and talking slow? It's like when people label a band like Green Day a copy of The Ramones. There's only so many notes on a guitar; there's bound to be some crossover, influence and similarities, especially within the same genre.
Does anyone really associate the word troglodyte with Jericho? Because I sure as hell didn't. And is Jericho the only guy to boast about being undefeated against an opponent? I hope this is part of a greater storyline, otherwise Jericho just comes off like some grumpy old man who thinks a bit too highly of his influence.

Pretty sure it's just a work. But if it isn't I'll go ahead and hedge my bets by saying: This from the guy who admitted from taking his whole last persona from Nick Bockwinkel and who's Y2J gimmick is inspired by HBK. Yeah, CM Punk may have taken over his "Best in the World" gimmick, but he also did a better job than Jericho ever did with it.

Its also not like he is the first person to have a tag line about being the best in the world.

Personally I'd be fine with Jericho not returning if he's going to return as that awful suit wearing "you're all hypocrites and parasites" bore of a persona he had last time around.

Didn't Jericho take the Best in the World thing from Bryan Danielson?

Didn't Jericho take the Best in the World thing from Bryan Danielson? I figured Punk did. Jericho always said, at least at the beginning of his SRS phase, "I'm the best in the world at what I do"...which he took from Wolverine.

Considering that Jericho cops to his whole "SRS JERICHO" act being heavily inspired/lifted from Nick Bockwinkel... I thought he ripped it from Javier Bardem.

In his most recent DVD documentary, he said it was a cross between the two.

I wouldn't put it past Jericho to systematically destroy ACTUAL respect us fans have for him in order to come back and be the ultimate heel, in this day and age it would be a great way to get MASSIVE kayfabe heat, and because he isn't the bitter type, i'm just gonna assume he is working people on this one, and if he is then it looks like it is working.

I dunno, I still think people would pop massively regardless.
