I wouldn't put it past Jericho to systematically destroy ACTUAL respect us fans have for him in order to come back and be the ultimate heel, in this day and age it would be a great way to get MASSIVE kayfabe heat, and because he isn't the bitter type, i'm just gonna assume he is working people on this one, and if he is then it looks like it is working. Exactly! I'm pretty sure we've all seen his DVD. He doesn't want us to miss him when he's gone, he doesn't want us to cheer him when he comes back. He loves, LOVES, playing the heel, and I really dig that about him.

I think he means that since he had the "serious gimmick", there's been an influx of wrestler's with similar gimmicks. Not that people are "ripping" him off. That's just my 2 cents.
Off-Topic: Why do people type Jericho instead of Chris or Chris Jericho? Don't say that you do it as a short-hand, because I see sentences with wrestler's full names, and then it has just Jericho. Sorry, just a pet-peeve of mine.

Sorry, just a pet-peeve of mine. For public figures last names tend to be commonly used, unless it's something where the first name's more distinguishable. Like, no one's going to say, I dunno, "Who would you say is the worst TNA wrestler, Rob or Velvet?" The Rob thing just sounds weird.

Even if this is kayfabe, why does it feel like (to me, at least) that Jericho has turned into a big headed jackass over the years?

Yeah, everything I've seen of Jericho he seems to be talented but also a complete moron and kind of an asshole. You and I must be looking at two different Chris Jerichos then because he's never struck me as anything other than a smart, cool guy with a particular sense of humor. It is so not out of the realm of possibility for him to already be working on the new phase of his wrestling persona. I'm not getting my hopes up but this has his brand of machinations written all over it.

He's been "stealing" the Nature Boy gimmick for how many years now? Hmm... I see your point, but Ric Flair beat Buddy Rogers for the right to use the mantle.

Sin Cara stealing from Jericho? He certainly performs with the same grace and agility Jericho showed as Super Liger.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Bryan Danielson was calling himself "Best in the World" before Jericho did, and I know Jericho didn't invent the Codebreaker. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I guess Jericho must be frustrated with Ric Flair as well. He's been "stealing" the Nature Boy gimmick for how many years now? Hmm... Bah, Flair won that fair and square after the battle of the Nature Boys.

Damn, I miss Jericho. That interview had me in stitches. But it did need more armbar. (Definitely kayfabe)

You don't remember that video of them and Maryse hanging out? I think its just teasing. Yeah, I think they're actually good buddies and Jericho just loves ripping on him. As for the interview, it seems to me that Jericho's angling to come back as a heel immediately and not do a "face by default because he's back" run to start off.

I like Jericho but this is just sad. Is he really that full of himself that he thinks he invented wearing suits and talking slow? No, since he said on his DVD and in his book that it was a combination of Nick Bockwinkel and Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men.

I'm a huge Jericho fan, he's probably my favourite of all-time, but having had the opportunity of coming across him a few times I can say, although he's a very cool fun guy, he has an inflated ego and a 'better than you' attitude.
However, he's probably just joking with the Miz.

The Miz does rip off Jericho a little too much. That is a legit complaint by Jericho other then that one I think Jericho is just coming up with a character or not being super serious. Jericho ripped off some stuff and people rip off some of his older stuff as well its what happens in wrestling. The only issue I have with Miz is that he is taking a lot of stuff Jericho has done in recent years.

He should get rid of his SRS persona and burn his suit in a trash can, or has somebody else already come up with that idea? Actually Kane should burn his suit and inherit his powers becomming SRS Kane. Then you can tie that into wrestlers stealing from Jericho.
