Weird. I wonder how much truth there was to this.

I'd say he'd be mired in the lightweight division putting on awesome matches with the likes of Pillman and Liger. Then around 94-95 he'd come back to WWF along with HHH and Austin. Where it goes from there is debatable I suppose.

There is some speculation that Owen Hart's surprise tag team partner will be either Yokozuna or Chris Benoit. The Yokozuna rumour stems from the recent promos for WrestleMania, where the big guy is finally mentioned again. The Benoit rumour stems from the Observer, wherein Meltzer mentioned that the WWF was interested in pushing Hart & Benoit immediately to the top. Meltzer also mentioned that there is some confusion over whether Men on a Mission would get the tag title match at WrestleMania (in place of Hart & partner; this seemed like the direction they were going), saying that MOM weren't at TV and aren't around right now.

I loved the Yoko/Owen tag team. Owen/Benoit would have been one for the history books tho...

Brian Pillman is currently working without a contract and will apparently complete his WCW bookings while negotiations continue. He's not getting listed on new booking sheets in the meantime. There is talk that the WWF is making a play for Brian.

Speaking of the Four Horsemen, speculation has the group splitting up, with Chris Benoit leaving the fold (after it is revealed that he beat up Arn Anderson) and forming a new team with Dean Malenko, Chris Jericho, and possibly Steve Regal. Benoit is slated to feud with Ric Flair at some point. Jeff Jarrett will also be out of the Horsemen, leaving a returning Ric Flair with Steve Michael, while Arn Anderson recovers from surgery.

so it would be like a younger 4 horseman, I think that it would be a nice feud. who would be the 4th horseman?

He must've been a Power Plant guy that flopped in dark matches

January 10, 1992 Apparently, Magic Johnson has approached both the WWF and WCW about doing wrestling shows as part of an AIDS benefit. The rumours have him proposing some inter-federational matches as the draw. ----------------------------------- So now you have a lot of stuff to think about. It's early 92, WWF vs WCW matches for an AIDS benefit. What matches would you want to see? A few months old, but man, I can't believe nobody talked about this! We're talking about the WCW vs. WWF supercard that fans always dreamt of. It definately would have been better than the inVasion crap.

Speaking of Randy Savage, the latest WWF scuttlebutt has it the Macho King is just not happy with the way is career is going in the WWF. Rumours are moderately strong that Savage is negotiating to jump ship, destination unknown. Imagine if Savage & Elizabeth show up in a different organization.

There is a lot of talk that the WWF & Japan's FMW have reached some sort of agreement. Right now, it may be no more than FMW getting to use Cactus Jack (Mankind) on their shows. It is reported that Atushi Onita & Vince McMahon will be meeting to work out the details of the agreement.

Apparently the WWF will be canning the Funeral Parlor and Barber Shop interview segments, and replace both with Piper's Pit. The Pit won't have a set like it did in previous years, but will just take place in the ring. No word on the future of Brutus Beefcake.

So, Mr. Perfect has joined up with Bobby Heenan. Also rumoured to be joining the "Family" shortly is Rick Martel, who has quietly left manager Slick. So Bobby has (will have) four singles wrestlers: Hennig, Rude, Martel, Barbarian. The question is: what tag-team will be formed out of this mess after Rude, Barbarian and Martel all fail to beat the Ultimate Warrior? I can see some real potential in a Rude-Martel team, with an eventual split up because of ego problems.
