You know, I would love to have JR and Heyman back. They killed 'Mania X-7. But if I was in one of the big matches, I would settle for Josh and Matt Stryker, or King and Cole...HOWEVER...I would demand that they call the match properly. All of those guys are competent of doing it, so if I were stuck with them, I would want them to focus on the story and match, and no hyping the diva's match later or what was hot on twitter at that moment. We will never see another team as great as JR and Heyman. Good lord they were amazing together. Heyman is one of the best commentators WWE ever had but they didn't use him there enough for some silly reason. That man could make anything seem important.

I hate JR, as a commentator, as a person, and want nothing to do with anything he does. Maybe he was good once long ago, but he is nothing but uneducated sounding catchphrases and that's it. May I query as to why you dislike JR as a person? I won't argue it with you but I am genuinely curious. Obviously I don't know the man personally, but every out of character interview or blog I have ever seen or read form the guy he just comes off as two faced douche. We recently saw him attack DDP over the David Arquette title thing. Plus he publicly bitched about being moved to Smackdown, and if I remember correctly he said he would rather not work, then all does is bitch that he is not used on television anymore when in reality he got what he was asking for. EDIT and no to other poster why would I care if you do or don't like the Miz?

I think this WrestleMania has so much Attitude Era influence, it would be tragic NOT to have JR calling the whole card. JR still is, and has been for a long time, THE man behind the desk.

I hope he does. I would hate to have that idiot Cole yammering over the match. Why WWE isn't using their best announcing asset is beyond me anyway.

In the past several months I have seen people on this board taking the side of Cena against rock, falling in love with Johnny Ace, and now everybody seems to hate JR. WE HAVE ENTERED A TWILIGHT ZONE PEOPLE! Amen to this

I'm pretty sure that Cole would stay calm for most of the match. Except when it looks close to being over, of course. Besides, the likelyhood of Cole going on and on during a match with HHH seems impossible. Just look at HHH-UNdertaker last year. Cole didn't do any of his schtick. Cole will be serious for HHH/UNdertaker and Cena/Rock. Bank on it.

If it's Taker's last match, by all means give JR the gig.

Cole isn't the worst I've ever heard behind the headset. He's better than Rob Bartlett and Mark Madden, at least.
Bring back the best in the biz, bring back J.R. for the "granddaddy of 'em all". Totally makes sense to me.

I agree that they shouldn't keep bringing him back now and again, they should either stick to him or Cole. Bye Cole. As for the next lead announcer, Scott Stanford is the man. I hope WWE pulls the trigger on him soon. May I query as to why you dislike JR as a person? I won't argue it with you but I am genuinely curious. Obviously I don't know the man personally, but every out of character interview or blog I have ever seen or read form the guy he just comes off as two faced douche. EDIT and no to other poster why would I care if you do or don't like the Miz? I don't know why you think he's a two faced douche. I regularly read his blog and Q & A section on his site and I think he's one of the most honest and intelligent wrestling personalties out there. He's like a more relaxed Jim Cornette. In that DDP video he wasn't attacking him, he was just getting passionate. DDP loves JR so it was just two friends having a heated discussion. He wasn't angry about going to Smackdown per se, he was angry because they didn't tell him in advance and instead did it live on TV to get a reaction out of him. It's a hell of a difference for the announcers, so it was pretty crappy of them to do. He was happy once there, but even now he doesn't bitch about not being used. There are enough people doing it for him; he just goes with whatever they want him to do. He's made his enemies (I think you're bound to in that business) but the fact that he did the job he did, and is still one of the most respected and well liked men in the business says a lot about him in my opinion.

What would you think if he said, "Yup. It is true and I accepted". No surprise at Mania. Then you (not you personally) bitch about lack of surprises and spoilers.

The fact that Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura still exist on this earth and aren't calling every match on WWE television is a travesty. This.
