All rumours which JR confirmed as being a rumour. I guess some people just don't want Cole yapping over their time in the ring.

I like JR but unless he's going to be back full time, stay the course. Don't do this crap, either Cole, King and Booker are your team or they're not. If you don't like them enough to have them call the full card (and they aren't involved in a match for some God awful reason), fire them. I don't care how good JR is, move on or have him be the guy at everything.

^Well said.
It makes the bunch of employees you have the other 11 months seem inferior.
They didn't keep plugging Monsoon in there during the mid-90's Mania's.

They KNOW J.R. is the man, as indicated by them considering him for the big time matches, but they can't admit that by featuring him as the main Raw commentator.

Taker should resurrect Gordon Solie!

Oh great...another JR return. Maybe they'll tease him being back full time. Then...SWERVE...he gets fired by the heel GM. It really comes full circle after the 80th time.

The fact that Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura still exist on this earth and aren't calling every match on WWE television is a travesty.

All for this as long as they don't have Cole on the same announce team. I have no desire to have to hear the both of them bickering throughout the entire show.
I hope that, just for this one night, they can Michael Cole and have J.R. back there. He's still the best. And when you have the best, why would you settle for anything else?

In my opinion JR should call Taker/Trips & Rock/Cena. I'm not saying this because I hate, Cole can be really good, but more so King & Booker who just don't mix with Cole and it wouldn't feel right feel right for the biggest show of the year.

That's how you end up watching classic matches years later dragged down with Coach and Cole as commentators.

Keep it consistent.

^Well said. It makes the bunch of employees you have the other 11 months seem inferior. It makes it seem that way because they are. Jim Ross is still the best at what he does. Until they find someone as good, they should keep him as the A announcer, while cultivating his eventual replacement on the b-level. The best man for the job should have the job. Bottom line. If someone who happens to be older is still outperforming their younger counterparts, that older guy deserves the job more.

I am not disagreeing with that (though Cole has been amazing since RR), just this idea that bring him back to call one or two matches is stupid. If he's the best you got, either use him all the time on the air, have him work with the other guys to get better, or don't use him at all and let the guys you have do the job you're paying them for. I mean the NFL/NBC/CBS/Fox isn't digging up Summerall and Madden to call the Super Bowl every year, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better team out there right now than them, IMO. Basically, either use him for every RAW and PPV or don't use him at all.

If they don't trust their normal team to do well, then don't use them, ever.

The fact of the matter is that if the top talent trust someone who called matches on a regular basis 10 years ago over the new "Voice of the WWE", then something isn't right with the current lead commentator. That's all this tells me.

Either keep the team you have or don't. I understand that Undertaker gets whatever he wants, but just tell Cole to call the match straight and tell Undertaker to just have the match. Is that so hard?
Do we really need another "Bring Back JR" dog-and-pony show? No. No, we don't. That was not a rhetorical question. The answer is no.

It makes the bunch of employees you have the other 11 months seem inferior. Kind of like what they are doing by positioning Rock, HHH, HBK and Taker over nearly all the guys who will still be working house shows and PPVs after WM...
