I'm expecting Bryan/Sheamus to open.

7 matches is way too little of a match number for mania imo.

I hated how they bumped one of the matches just for Rock to go on an endless promo. Is it me or am I getting kind of sick of the Rock at this point. Anyway I highly doubt they will have the WWE title to start. If they start with it then doesn't that put Cena and Rock ABOVE the title?
I think there might be some promo but I think it will start with the 12-man tag.

I really doubt they'll start with the tag match, just on the basis that they tend to leave off with important matches or ones that'll get a crowd fired up. A match where half the guys involved probably won't tag in that has no reason to happen besides, "Get people on the card," really doesn't fit that bill. Unless there's a ladder and it's a free-for-all, but that'd be cool and all so heaven forbid.

Obvious answer is a Rock promo.

Don't forget that chick from Extra possibly entering a feud with Beth Phoenix for some reason. I could see a big tag match again.

It's Wrestlemania for craps sake!!!! There is NO need for a long in-ring promo by anyone, especially by The Rock who has had endless amounts of promo time on Raw. I'm not buying Mania, but if I was I'd be pissed if I paid $60, $70 bucks for a PPV and have The Rock come out for a 20 minute promo. When I order a PPV, I want WRESTLING not talking.

This is a weird Mania where we have 4 main events throughout the show.
With that in mind, I'd be fine with either of the World title matches opening. At least you're more guaranteed a hot start to the night.

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes could be a really good opener. The crowd would be hot for both guys, and Cody bumping around like crazy for Show would be a really fun way to start things off.
If they don't add many more matches, I can see Punk/Jericho getting a really long slot, like 30-40 minutes.

Regarding The Rock, why SHOULDN'T he be given the time? Same with whatever Cena has to say or do leading up to it. This is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) match in WWE's history, it should be promoted as such. Why shouldn't The Rock and John Cena be given the time? THEY'VE HAD A FREAKIN YEAR!

I'd go with the 12 man tag instead of a boring mismatch like Rhodes/Show. Also, that match needs a Goldust cameo.

I would honestly be shocked if Rhodes/Show doesn't go on first. The entire story around it is that Big Show has never been on the upper hand during a Wrestlemania. I see this as a quick match, more or less a squash from Show. Basically a quick, heated match with a title change to get the crowd into it.

I have no problem with a WWE/WHC match opening for the sole reason that is promotes every match on the show being "big-time feel" and there a lot of main events. You try to throw them all together it burns out the crowd and time gets sliced. Only issue with Jericho/Punk opening is that I don't think they will kick Mania off with a video package recapping the events between the 2 that have transpired building up to this match after the Mania video/pyro etc. That's why D-Bry/Sheamus or 12man may be better suited for that spot.
The "Jericho just showing up" idea is cool as it's unpredictible and doesn't come off like that match was slotted for first.
I can see Taker/HHH being in the middle because if they are building the cell they will need time to do so, so why not fill that with a Rock backstage promo/ Legeneds segment, HOF inductees.

It's also possible to note that if it's anything like WM24, they will have a pyro show halfway through to make up for the crappy pyro to start off the event. If they can prolong this segment and follow it up with HoF then they'll have plenty of time.

I'm guessing Rhodes vs. Show. Big Show has opened up Wrestlemania matches before, Big Show is one of the most over guy's on the roster, and faces usually win the opening match. Big Show winning will get a good pop and will make a good impression for the fans.

JR is rumored to be pushing for Jericho and Punk to open the card so they can't trim it for time as things run long

Provided something's not getting trimmed down to like five minutes or something, I don't really see the problem anyway. Other than maybe Hell in a Cell none of the matches on this card to me feel like they should go over fifteen or twenty minutes.

I've pegged Bryan/Sheamus going first since it was announced.
