Loved WM 28!! Very happy I purchased it!
I loved the outdoor setting, stage/set-up. Looked awesome, one of my favorites.
Of course IWC will be absolutely up in arms over Bryan. Yes, I wish I could have seen the match, and it was cheap, but I think that one single decision/match ruined what was a great WM for way too many people and got their panties all in a bunch over it.
Deadliest Catch plug/Funkasarous was a waste of time.
Yes, this was a 3 match show, but I expected that going in, and all 3 absolutely delivered for me. Taker/HHH blew my mind and marked when JR was introduced. Loved Triple H's "monster skull" he walked through, thought it looked badass (I don't care what the haters say) and loved Takers "spikey coat". Punk/Jericho awesome, wish they had another 5 min. or so though, but MOTN for me was Cena/Rock (as much as I liked Hell in a Cell).
IMO, Rock hasn't lost a step, I marked out several times, and absolutely shocked Rock won. I wanted Cena to win, but would have been ok if somehow Rock won going in too. I just wanted a great match, which I feel I got. Hopefully Rock returns the favor at some point though.
2 small complaints: It is 1bakillion percent confirmed that we will NEVER, EVER see blood (bladejobs) in matches again. If this match/stipulation, setting, stage "End of an Era" wasn't the place for it, we will NEVER get it. Hoped for it though.
Also, wish I got a Lesnar appearance after one of the matches (attack Taker on the ramp maybe). Here's hoping rumors are true about his return. And hoping for a return on Raw.
Loved WM 28!

Surprised how much hatred there is for the Bryan/Sheamus match. Bryan got a good payday and my friends and I at least thought it was HILARIOUS (and YES, we are Bryan fans). Thats what I was thinking. Could've been a decent match, but I found it fun no less. The crowd popped so thats what really mattered.True but they then proceeded to chant "bulls***" during the backstage skit after the squash as well as Daniel Bryan's name during the next THREE matches. Kind of a hollow pop once you realize..."Hey I paid/wanted to see these two wrestle". The kind of match we got may be more fun at home than at the stadium where you paid for a ridiculously expensive seat to see, um, that.

I don't agree with much of the complaining. It was a good show imo. Some of the under-card wasn't presented so well, which hurt it a little. BUT The three main events really delivered big time and helped the show.
Edit: Though I am going to agree that the Daniel Bryan loss in 18 seconds REALLY disheartened me at first and made me feel like I wasted money, but then UT/HHH, Rock/Cena made up for it.

With the first hour? 7/10. It really bogged down what was otherwise the best WrestleMania in years.
Without it? An easy 9. The HIAC exemplified master storytelling from 3 savvy vets, the WWE title match showcased two of the best pure wrestlers in the business putting on a clinic (in spite of the first half being slowed down by the DQ stip, they more than compensated for it in the second), and Cena/Rock showcased the pure, larger-than-life spectacle that is professional wrestling. These 3 matches were everything that WrestleMania should be, and reaffirmed why I'm still a fan of this business over 20 years after I first started watching it.

A lot of the complaints are mostly things in the first hour. I'd say the first hour was decent, nothing special, but the last 3 hours were awesome. Overall, a great Mania.

We had a WrestleMania BBQ for the 10th year in a row. Had a bunch of people over who were cheering as if we were in the audience. That helps alot. I personally felt the show was pretty good. Loved the HHH/Taker match as well as the Rock/Cena match. Would've like to of seen what Daniel Bryan and Sheamus could've done with 10-15 minutes.
Hated the divas match. If your gonna do a divas match why not make it interesting? That was just shit. Had 80,000 people sitting on their hands for 10 minutes.
The concerts, skits, and Funkasauraus I get cause you need breaks between the matches so that didn't bother me too much. But overall was a fun night of WWE.

Considering how they were respectively booked prior to Mania, it seemed like Miz and Bryan got their scripts switched, with the former getting the big win via distraction for his team and the latter losing in 18 seconds.

Triple H and The Undertaker was the match of the night for me. It was old school in so many ways, but the snug wrestling resembled that more than anything. I loved the psychology too. It took a few minutes for them to get into it, but once they found their rhythm, they were off to the races. I can't give more credit to Shawn Michaels who put on a great performance as well. Great stuff all around during that match.
Sheamus and Daniel Bryan really left a bad taste in my mouth. That's all I'm going to say about it.
Cody and Big Show had a good match and it made sense. Cody had been getting on his case for weeks and Show stepped up and proved him and so many people wrong. I had no problem with it at all.
Orton and Kane was better than I expected, but I don't understand why Kane won the match. Orton has dropped considerably compared to where he was two years ago.
The Divas Match, just as Orton and Kane, was better than I expected. Not a bad match, but nothing that I'll go crazy for. It was good. Props to Maria for working hard despite being injured.
Punk and Jericho was great. I didn't care for the Johnny Ace stipulation prior to the match, but Punk and Jericho worked so well from beginning to end. The counters at the end was simply fantastic. Once again, another match with exceptional psychology. Both guys looked great here and moving forward after WrestleMania.
Team Teddy and Team Johnny should have lasted longer and been booked as an elimination tag team match. Eve being the focal point at the end wasn't good to me. The match was about which GM would control both brands. Instead, Eve screwing Ryder was the final story.
Cena and Rock was good, but it showed me what I had thought prior to the match. Most of the great matches at WrestleMania happen when they aren't booked as the best match in WrestleMania history. They hyped this match up for over a year, but I don't think it delivered they way they wanted us to believe. It was a good match, but I didn't think it was anything special. I might look back on this match differently depending on what they do with Cena going forward. A progressive heel turn over the next several months might change my views on the match, but for now, I'll just state that it was good, exciting and Rock did a great job considering this was his first singles match in nine years.
The Santino and Foley skit with the TV guy and Ron Simmons was good. Anytime Ron is on WWE TV, I mark out and this was no exception. The other skits, concerts and Brodus Clay stuff was horrible........ a waste of time that should have been used for more purposeful things....... such as Daniel Bryan and Sheamus and the Tag Team Title Match.
Overall, it was a good show. It takes a lot for me to state that any WrestleMania was awful because I find enjoyment in at least one aspect of every one.

WWE TOUTS WRESTLEMANIA SUCCESS by Mike Johnson @ 1:26 AM on 4/2/2012
WWE issued the following press release:
Wrestlemania Breaks Records
MIAMI, Apr 01, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- WWE® WWE +0.34% announced tonight that WrestleMania XXVIII set three records. With a sellout crowd of 78,363 fans from all 50 states and 36 countries, the annual pop culture extravaganza became Sun Life Stadium’s largest attended event and highest grossing entertainment event in history. Grossing $8.9 million, it was also the highest grossing live event in WWE history. The event was broadcast around the world on pay-per-view in more than 105 countries and 20 languages.
The previous Sun Life Stadium attendance record was 77,912 for the BCS National Championship in 2005. Its highest grossing entertainment event was U2 on June 29, 2011, grossing more than $7.5 million. WrestleMania XXVIII surpassed the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania in Houston, which grossed $7.2 million. This marks the third consecutive year WrestleMania broke the gross entertainment event record of the host venue.
“WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami-Dade County was an incredible event for WWE. WWE would like to thank our loyal fans, as well as the public and private sector partners for their tireless efforts to help make WrestleMania Week such a success,” said John P. Saboor, Senior Vice President of Special Events, WWE. “We now look forward to building on these achievements as we head to MetLife Stadium for WrestleMania XXIX next year.”
WrestleMania XXIX will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Ticket information will be announced later this year.

I just got back, lots of "YES!" chants before, during, and after the show. Opener more or less confused a ton of us rather than deflating everyone. Just very, very odd, though the "Daniel Bryan" chants (did these go over on TV?) during the Divas tag was pretty great.
Kane/Orton was OK, nothing too special but not bad, though Cody/Show was horrifically boring live, couldn't wait for that one to end.
I would have put the Divas tag after the HIAC to cool the crowd off, because the peak of the show was the HIAC by far, really really good stuff.
By the time Punk/Jericho came up I was just exhausted and ready for the main event. Cena's new tee is absolutely terrible, have no idea how anyone over the age of 12 would wear that thing in public. I thought it was just some vanity shirt/limited edition before I saw him come out in it. Rock got a monster ovation, though those two concerts beforehand really didn't make any sense. Also the random P Diddy appearance for 30 seconds was a real head scratcher.
Lastly as I was leaving the club level I see these two big ripped guys in suits coming towards me and I thought they were bouncers, but it ended up being Skip Sheffield and some other guy who I didn't get a good glimpse of. Following behind them was Alicia Fox, who was well over 6 feet in the heels, and then Derrick Bateman with some girl (not Maxine). Walked out the door and coming in the other way was Rosa, and I think I accidentally cut Norman Smiley off at the exit. Really unexpected to see the flood of these guys coming in and out of there.
Overall pretty good show, would say it was a middle of the road average show, but being there live for the first time ever for WM really put it over the top.

They really needed a fast paced match in there, because the rest of the card seemed like it lasted 8 years.

Overall? 8/10. Only blip was the ludicrous Sheamus/D-Bry joke, but eh, the rest of the card more than made up for it. LOADS of Yes and Daniel Bryan chants through other random matches too. YES chants for great moments in other matches = D-Bry has struck a chord and surely won't be dropped down too far. He was really popular.
Match of the night was Rock/Cena, the only match to get fans energy up again post-Hell in a Cell. The Divas match got no reaction, the Jericho/Punk match got little reaction until the end due to how much everyone in that stadium was cheering for either 'Trips or Undertaker.
And you know the best bit? It was amazing fun going in even with a terribly f***ed up throat (coughing up blood and crap = not good), and intriguing coming out. Cena loses?! Orton loses from a great chokeslam?! Miz wins for Team Johnny?!
Cody/Show I really enjoyed too, fun vintage booking (face smashes heel in a fair match and wins his defining moment at a big show).
Also: OLD SCHOOL CAGE. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!
So many nice fans there too, had a chat with a lot, and had a lot of high fives/handshakes etc with people around. Also if anyone was sat in the 113 area and hated 3 rowdy wrestling fan Liverpudlians, I am sorry, I was just so happy to be there and gave it my all energy wise!

Oh yeah, and from a live fan POV the stores were very weak on shirt selection, no Dolph, no buys. Also, people changing their minds on how the replica belts were priced put me off so much. "Oh, classic winged eagle? $220." /other shop = "Oh, classic winged eagle? $350." /other merch place = $240.
Did pick up the Bret/Shawn triple DVD set for $10 though, along with the new-ish Punk shirt and a the I Am Awesome, You Are Not shirt for someone as a gift.

Great show.
8/10
The opening was a fun surprise and the other big matches were great.
Everything else was 'meh' like I expected it to be, but a great show overall.

All my non-fan friends became fans over the last year or so. And tonight we had a big Wrestlemania party, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried that WWE would blow it and lose them.
They didn't. They knocked it out of the park tonight with the main matches and a thoroughly entertaining spectacle of a show that was just SATISFYING. We all screamed at every dramatic near-fall and big spot, yelling for like 30 minutes straight during Taker/Trips; man, that shit was a roller coaster. It was a masterpiece that made me proud to be a fan.
Also, the catharsis when Rock beat Cena was nuts. We jumped around and celebrated, threw things out of sheer joy, and we did jumping high fives and hugs for minutes. And shit, when the Extreme Rules promo aired, we joked about getting together again to watch that, too. Think about that - I had friends hyped about EXTREME RULES, the show was so good.
Most importantly, it was FUN. It was EXCITING. It was a lot of things WWE hasn't consistently been in a long time, and it was probably the best WM since 20.
Like I said, IMO WWE knocked it out of the park tonight. They made a LOT of new fans and finally made a lot of old fans very happy.
