Speaking of LaRussa, he's been dropping hints at returning for the 2012 season without coming out and saying it.
Um...hooray?

Going to Rangers-Tigers Game 6 tomorrow because one of my dad's friends with tickets had two people who couldn't make it!
Hopefully it will be an ending. I'm not interested in a Game 7.

And many Brewer fans would want to beat the Cards so bad so they shut LaRussa up and to silence the arrogant Cards fans. There is just as much vile garbage that comes out of your fellow fans mouths as any fanbase. Everything you claim Brewer fans do, Cards fan do when talking Brewers. And we really hate Alberta Puljos for being not only a whiner but a hypocrite. This guy repeatedly whined about the Brewers untucking their jerseys after beating them completely ignorant of the fact that it was a tribute to Mike Cameron's father and whined about Ryan Braun's antics ignoring the fact that Pujlos is one of the biggest showboaters out there. You cannot find a bigger bunch of whiners and hypocrites than LaRussa, Pujols and Co. That is why the Cards and their fans are hated and it has nothing to do with wins and losses. Like I said, you can trash talk LaRussa all you want. The man deserves everything he gets and I bet you won't find a single Cards fan that won't agree with everything you say about him. As far as Cards fans that trash talk, by all means return fire. I tend to associate myself with mostly Cards fans that have a friendly rivalry with out fellow NL Central fans. Hell, most of the Cards and Cubs fans I know get along and *gasp* we wished them well when they made the playoffs and we didn't. Once again, I don't have a problem with the Crew, it's just the small portion of it's fanbase that I've been exposed to hasn't exactly been pleasant. Then again, I moved from the St. Louis area when I was eight and never gained my intense burning hatred for the rest of the NL like my cousins did. Seeing them talk baseball, I can definitely see your point. That portion of the Brewers fanbase is probably a group of big Packer fans as well. They follow the Brewers until the PAckers start, usually because the Brewers are out of it by August. Since, Fielder, Braun, Weeks and Hart all came up from the minors, those fans now have a reason to follow the Brewers even after the Packers begin their season. On a side note, while Brewer fans have always detested the Cubs, Lou Pinella was respected when he was the manager, which shows you how far LaRussa has gone to gain the ire of the same fans.

Well, Lou Pinella was a classy, likable guy and a good manager. LaRussa is none of those things.

Some interesting tidbits:
- Reports out of Boston suggest that John Henry was completely against the Carl Crawford signing and it was completely of Theo's own design.
- NY Post reporting that, if CC opts out, look for the Nats, Jays, Rangers and Tigers to offer big money.

No suggestions needed: John Henry said outright he wasn't in favor of the Crawford signing on a Boston sports radio show. But he's not a baseball guy so he let the baseball guys make the decision on that one.
Also I can't see CC leaving the Yankees. He'll opt out for sure, but my guess is the discussions will be amicable and I can't see the Yanks losing a bidding war for the only ace they have. From all accounts he loves pitching in the Bronx.
Speaking of the Rangers, they're kind of murderizing the Tigers right now.

Speaking of the Rangers, they're kind of murderizing the Tigers right now. Only a matter of time before the Rangers offense came loose against such a mediocre pitching staff that the Tigers have... sans Verlander, of course. Let's see if the Rangers avoid being the baseball Mavericks with a World Series victory next week.

I'm gonna be too busy watching the NASCAR race, so I'll get it out of the way now.
Congrats Rangers, you deserve to be in the World Series. Cruz deserved to get that MVP award.

Fister was incredible when he was with us in the second half. Scherzer is alright, better at home, and Porcello has flashes. As for the bullpen, the only two I really trust coming out of the bullpen are Alburquerque (though he's struggled in the playoffs) and Benoit, as well as Valverde in a save situation. As for Brad Penny, yeah, f*** him. He was decent the first month or so, but since then he's been the drizzling shits. I guess Leyland just decided to give up when he put Penny in.

Calling it now, epic 9th inning comeback capped by a Ramon Santiago grand slam? Why? Well, why not?
