Seems like they tried to force Sheamus into the role, but it's not happening. He doesn't connect with the fans very well as a face, and hasn't really done anything of note. Yeah, I think it's pretty clear they're trying to force Sheamus into that role, but it won't happen. He's a main eventer, certainly, but he's not THE guy.

Its hard to say based on the current roster. Id love to see Ziggler get a good run as a cocky face. Same with Miz, although I dont see Miz being THE guy at any point.

Honestly, I absolutely could see the Miz as THE guy. The guy was on fire, then they began booking him like garbage and have been for close to a year

Personally Vince, you've got CM Punk right there for you and he's almost at that level. CM Punk is absolutely awful for PR purposes and isn't that good of a ratings draw. Agreed, Punk will never be on the level of a Hogan, Austin, or Rock imo.

As for who I think has the goods- Sheamus could really take off once he starts feuding with a heel that people truly hate, in the same way that Cena stopped getting booed as much after he started working with Edge. Barrett could easily be that guy for Lobsterhead.
And Miz not only has the looks, moveset, promo style and crossover appeal to be a big time face, he's long overdue for a turn anyway because he's going nowhere right now.

If they recovered his momentum, who knows?

I disagree that Triple H was never the face of the company.
Honestly, look at the reign of terror, just because he wasn't A face, doesn't mean that he wasn't the top guy.

If I had to pick one guy who I think might be the next be mega star, I'd have to go with Dolph Ziggler.

You know seeing the "Vince looking for a new Cena" and "Cena gets divorced" threads so close to each other is slightly mindbending.

Wasn't this what Drew McIntyre's "Chosen One" name was for?

I agree with most of the names thrown out here like Dolph and Miz and even Steamboat, but I'm willing to go into super left field for this one and say that I seriously believe that Xavier Woods could be a total star and be the guy if given a chance.
Dude has loads of charisma, good on the mic and good on the ring, and it would be something a little different, going with an minority as the guy on top of the company. My only fear is that he gets Kofi'd, where the potential is wasted by yo-yo booking.

Vince needs a new top "Hero", you say? I could see it, if he wasn't going by the name of Kassius Ohno I honestly think that terrible name could kill his WWE career before it gets going.

Dolph is just a perfect smug heel to me...I think he'd make a lame face.

CM Punk is absolutely awful for PR purposes and isn't that good of a ratings draw. You think...Drunk , Middle Finger giving Austin was better for PR Then clean doesn't do drugs Punk? Huh? Outside the WWE shows, Punk's had at least two incidents where he's had to apologise because of his temper and words, including one just recently where he told a man to go kill himself. He hasn't got the self control to be in the position of the guy of a company.

The dude's got all the potential in the world, he just needs that one thing to put him over the top.
