It's gonna be Ryback. Not even kidding. this is what i thought exactly. Isn't ryback older, too? That's the same guy as "silverback" reeves from tough enough 2004

That said, looking at the dude's body type, and how the big musclehead guys tend to flame out fairly quickly....he's not the guy.

I think the early 30-something guys still have a chance to become the face of the company. Guys like Cena & Orton achieved their status at a younger age than most. Now that there's nothing left for them to achieve, they can easily step back while someone else takes their spot.

Yeah, we're probably not going to see a 27 year old talent "coronated" the way Rock and Cena were for quite some time, especially with longer time being spent in developmental lately. Guys like Punk, Sheamus, and Miz are good potential nominees for that honor, and they'd only need to be on top for maybe 3 or 4 years at a time- hell, Austin didn't became the face of the company and a pop culture phenomenom until he was 33 (and had suffered a near career ending neck injury). I don't envision a Cena-style decade long run at the top happening again for a while.

The Miz, he's already there and ready baby! Oh yeah, this is my actual answer. With only a few touches, they can easily make Miz the next big name.

Richie Steamboat seems perfect for the role. He has a marketable image. He's a good wrestler. He knows the business. He has ties to the business. People would back the kid up surely. He's sort of the babyface down there as well, I see it going well. He has everything really. All he needs to do is hope the crowd latches onto him so they can work with that but if not then I'm not sure. Outside of him I don't really have anyone else. I would say Seth Rollins but he's not as clean as a babyface as Richie is. If they want a babyface to be the head of the company in my mind it would be him. Is it weird that I'm thinking that Richie sounds a hell of a lot like a young Rock when he first joined the WWF? I'm not saying the two will have similar careers or anything but they seem to have very similar backgrounds in wrestling.

Really, it has to be someone who hasn't debuted on the roster yet. WWE's wrestler is full of old people (by sports standards) with Jinder Mahal and Trent Barretta being the youngest and lets face it, neither of them scream 'next big star' They need someone who's 26 at the most who they can push as the big guy for 6 or 7 years once they've won their first title. It's not going to be CM Punk, he's only 2 years younger than Cena and is definitely not poster boy material.
Ritchie Steamboat is a good shout as he is by most accounts great in the ring, has a decent enough look and his dad's a legend so he already has a connection with the audience.
