I've met 3 wrestlers in my life:
I've met both men who were in this years WM main event. I met The Rock in the Tampa Airport when he was on my early morning flight to New Orleans in 2009. It was just me, him, my parents, my sister and an older couple sitting quite a bit down form us at our gate. He literally sat right next to me and had no problems talking to me and to my sister, who then melted when he started talking to her. Dear me that was embarrassing. She was such a bubbly teenage girl when talking to him. It was ridiculous but he was so cool about it and talked to me and my dad for quite a while, then shook our hand and gave me and autograph with "Keep kicking ass bro" written under his name. He was extremely cool.
I met John Cena at a Tampa Bay Rays game when my dad and I were sitting in the same row as he was and he had no problem with me and my dad moving down a few seats to talk to him. We talked to him during the entire game and he was very nice and wished me well when I told him that I wanted to be a broadcaster. He even said that one day he would put in a good word to Vince if I ever decided to apply for a commentary position in the WWE and said he would make sure Vince didn't yell too much in my ear if that happened. I got a photo with him and I tell you, he was absolutly massive in person. His arm was as big as BOTH of my legs.
I met Terry Taylor at Tribute to the Troops last year when he was working with talent during a signging at one of the Fort Bragg post exchanges. He was roomates with my dad when my Dad was in college and he worked in Mid-South so they started catching up and my dad introduced him to me. He was very nice and we got a photo. He wasn't a dick or anything but I could kind of tell where people could say he is kind of cocky.

I have meet Kane and he was very nice. Very polite too everyone. The Pope was really cool at fanfest before his big lockdown match. He was funny and cool. They just announced one autograph per person too speed up the lines. Like three people before me. I had his sunglasses that Don West just sold me whole in his line, and a T shirt that I was having everyone sign. He signed his glasses. Then looked at me. You wanted me to sign the shirt? I said Yeah. He goes, well I can't with you holding it. RVD was cool too. When the guy taken our picture didn't think he got the pic. RVD just goes, lets try it again.
Tara was super cool with me. Very touchy feely at me which I wasn't complaining. It was funny when she told me, crap I almost wrote Victoria on my shirt. I was laughing. She was like I don't want any WWE lawsuits.

Molly Holly. Her and Eaton are the 2 people I've heard that are "too nice" to be in the wrestling business. There's the story of her paying for Beth Phoenix tuition in OVW, because Randy Savage did the same for her when she joined the WCW Power Plant. Also, after leaving the business she did missionary work in Guatemala.

Molly, if we're counting the women.
Also, I've only heard positive things about Sting. The only one who's ever spoken poorly of him was Vampiro, who I believe tends to not have many friends in the business anyway.
Bret Hart said in his book that Kerry Von Erich, for all his personal problems, was one of the kindest people in the business, and wouldn't think twice about giving you the shirt off his back.

I'm gonna throw out a dark horse here: Mikey Whipwreck.
So I was working security for WrestleReunion in LA, and one of our jobs was to sit at a table for the Legends Signing, and keep the line moving along. The Legends were Kevin Sullivan, Kevin Von Erich, Vader, Molly Holly, the Steiners, The NAO, Sasuke, some Nitro Girl, Maryse for some reason, and Mikey, Dreamer and Foley. I got Mikey's table, which was right before Dreamer, who was right before Foley. Long story short, I wound up sitting and talking to Mikey for three hours listening to him tell stories, as well as tell s*** at Dreamer and Foley. Most of it being in his now legendary Terry Funk impression.
"Ohhhhhh, Tommy, holding up the line again, he can't stop talking."
"Ohhhhhh, Mick. Everyone's here to see you, nobody gives a s**+ about Ol' Mikey."
Anyway, the guy is hilarious, and I can't remember what he said, but I responded with "It means I'm gonna get killed!!!". To which he proceeded to laugh his ass off. Also, his Terry Funk impression extended to almost every person he was quoting, which gave me the chance to say a sentence I never thought I would say:
"GODDAMN IT, MIKEY, YOUR WIFE IS NOT TERRY FUNK!!!!!!"
Anyway, the guy was just awesome to be around, and he actually took a subtle shot at Maryse, which was kinda hilarious.

I have read that Victoria/Tara is one of the nicest women you would ever meet. To fans and I have read that other wrestlers have many positive things to say about her.

Only wrestler I ever met was Bob Backlund when he had a signature both at a Raw during his Congress run. Very nice man, even told me to tell my dad to say hello for him when I mentioned my dad was a big fan of his.
A buddy of mine ran into D-Von Dudley in 1997 when D-Von was bouncing at a local strip club. My buddy was wearing an ECW shirt which D-Von thanked him for. They had a brief chat as my friend was walking out and he said D-Von was a totally cool guy and very appreciative of my friend being a fan.

......where he trained under Mr. Hughes(who's a pretty nice guy himself)...... I'm sorry, but this is really hilarious to imagine, for some reason. Probably because I'm picturing him offering to pay for people's dinners and give people rides to the airport all with that huge grimace he always has.

I've met a few wrestlers now, and a couple of them have been very nice to me.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Miss Tessmacher, Raven, Shane Douglas, Honky Tonk Man, Nikita Koloff, El Generico, DDP, Roddy Piper, Beef Wellington, Eddie Kingston, Larry Sweeney (R.I.P), Jake Manning, Brian Kendrick, Austin Aries, Christy Hemme, Jimmy Hart, J.J Dillon, Gene Okerlund, Brutus Beefcake, Sunny, Howard Finkel, Jushin Liger, Rick Martel, Bruno Sammartino, Tito Santana, Shane Helms, and Tommy Dreamer were all pretty cool.
I also exchanged a few messages with Jake Roberts on Facebook and Twitter. He's been nice to me as well.

Haha, Hughes is great, yeah, gruff, but very nice, and seeing him every week at WWA4 was awesome. And he really lives the gimmick when it comes to the "wrestling with sunglasses" thing. All those weeks I went to shows at his wrestling school, I think I saw him without those sunglasses on his face maybe 3 times.

I've never heard a bad word spoken about Bobby Heenan. Then apparently you haven't been listening to Gorilla Monsoon enough. ;D But seriously, don't the Valiant's hate him for some reason? I'm not saying they're right, I'm just saying they're likely to speak bad words about him. I'm not sure how the Valiants feel about him, but I know Bobby doesn't like Jimmy and Johnny. He feels that they always tried to use people whenever they could and told a story about his mother having a heart attack and when he got to the hospital, Johnny was there waiting for him. At first he thought it was a nice gesture, checking on Bobby's mom before they went on the road. Turns out, Johnny wanted a ride and went to the hospital because he knew Bobby would be there. I've never heard him mention specifics on Jimmy, and he was actually friends with Jerry Valiant, who was one of the first guys he'd managed as half of an Assassins team. Boogie's been cool whenever I've met him. A bit of a salesman when he's working a gimmick table, but you can't blame a guy for wanting to make a living. I've met Molly, and true to the what people say, she is one of the nicest people I've ever met anywhere. Some of the others I've seen mentioned here that I'll put my own confirmation on are Jimmy Hart, Terry Funk, and Ivan Koloff. Jimmy's just an all around nice guy. Terry will have a conversation with anyone, even if it holds up an autograph line of a few hundred. He just enjoys talking with people about wrestling, where they're from, etc. Ivan is a gentleman and a class act who enjoys talking with the fans and has a good memory for repeat meetings. There were apparently a group of fans back in the '80s who would bring a huge Soviet flag to shows in one of the towns. A few years ago, one of them went to an autograph signing with Ivan. When it came the guy's turn, Ivan looked at him and said, "Aren't you one of the guys who used to bring the Russian flag in (whatever town)? You guys were crazy doing that!" Someone else mentioned recognizing Ivan in a Wal Mart, where he was just sitting on one of those benches. He approached him, and Ivan happily spent the next 20 or 30 minutes chatting with the guy. JJ Dillon is all class. The late Sir Oliver Humperdink was such a cool guy. I missed the hell out of him at Fanfest last year, and I'm sure this year will be no different. Roddy Piper was fantastic. I met him at Fanfest last year and he took a moment with everyone and seemed to truly enjoy it. When I told him I'm from Knoxville (I'm actually not, but it's the closest place anyone's heard of) he told me a story about him, Dusty Rhodes, and someone I can't remember setting up a ring in a hotel parking lot and having drunken matches at 3 a.m. one night in Knoxville. I never heard one bad word from anyone who met him that weekend. Despite his onscreen demeanor, Harley Race is someone I have enjoyed being around several times. He still gives off an aura that has led to me never calling him anything but "Mr. Race" and he's not all bubbly and outgoing, but at the Fanfests for example, he'll often sit around in the smoking area outside the hotel and talk to anyone who comes along, tell stories, etc. Iron Sheik surprised me by being incredibly great with the fans. Jim Cornette is actually very fan friendly, which I'm sure surprises some people. Though it's a different kind of "nice," and there are plenty of people who worked for and with him who would never say it about him, I have to put Ole Anderson on the list. As long as you are prepared for him to speak his mind, realize he's not setting out to offend you and laugh about it, Ole is great. At every Fanfest I've attended, if you wanted to talk to Ole, get a quick autograph or photo, all you had to do was go to the hotel lobby. Despite suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, Ole will sit in the lobby and talk with everyone, answering questions, telling stories, and of course offering his views on the business in general. I've came to understand that while the gruff, sometimes outright mean personality is to some degree who Ole is, he also plays it up for his own amusement and that of the people around him, and if you roll with it and maybe return it a little, it becomes apparent he's just enjoying himself.

I've never heard a bad story about Tommy Dreamer. I've met him three times. I won't say he isn't a nice guy but every time he has seemed either tired or bored. For me Shane Douglas, Jimmy Hart, Bruno Sanmartino and Lex Luger have all been awesome. My buddy met Roddy Piper and said he was cool.

There have been many at shows who were nice but for me personally the three best are Jimmy Valiant, Nikolai Volkoff and Duane Gill (Gillberg)
I was making a family trip to North Carolina and had been wanting to go to see Jimmy in Virginia at his camp for some time. VA is close to me in MD but not where Jimmy lives, it's about 5 hours from me. I got in touch with Jimmy who hosted me and my grandfather at his camp on a Monday which is a camp off-day. We had lunch at a nice diner in Pennsylvania after a Valiant Brothers signing. He introduced me to Nikolai Volkoff who, like Jimmy, I have come to know as a very positive person. They both have great memories for even little details. On June 9th it will be my second time hosting Nikolai at an autograph signing. Seeing him with the fans telling stories and even doing magic tricks is quite a treat. Jimmy has a book out about several hundred pages unlike most wrestling books which are shorter in length. He is also very positive throughout the book. Jerry Lawler I have met four times but the best was when I mentioned knowing Jimmy. He treated me well throughout the four hours he was at an autograph signing for Bowie Baysox in Maryland. Gillberg has a wrestling school in Severn, MD though it's still open he has moved to Arizona. He very kindly gave me some gifts to put in a charity auction. Though I'm a wrestling fan he knew me more as a volunteer in the community as I've shared my stories with him. When I went to the school for a MCW TV taping he took good care of me in getting me the best seat in the house.

Oh, yeah, Jimmy Rave was another cool guy. Met him at a teeny tiny indy show, and, while he clearly didn't want to be there(I'm pretty sure he was doing a favor for the guy who trained him, who was booking the show), he was a really, really cool dude. Though he did smell like wet dog.

Piper for sure, all around nice guy, I was awestruck seeing him in person. I don't think he's disliked backstage either wherever he's been.

Shane McMahon was a hell of a nice guy. I was out on a golf cart picking up room service trays and he was walking to the beach. I gave him an acknowledging wave (since I'd be fired if I did anything more as a fanboy) and he waved back and said hey. I was also pretty cool how laid back he was when he had a hell of a shiner from his match with Vince at Mania. (This was literally right after they bought WCW.)
Kevin Nash is a nicer guy than I think people give him credit for. I went to an autograph signing that was going on to promote Armageddon tickets going on sale and he even went out of his way to take photographs with anyone who wanted them even though his leg was still f'd up. That and one of my high school buddies and his college classmates went to see the Punisher and Nash and his father were attending the same screening. He recognized him from all of the WCW I watched at his place in high school and said what's up. Nash stuck around and shot the shit for around an hour with them.
