Yeah, fair play to them for apologising, although I doubt Tevez himself is so apologetic.
BIG rumour going around today that Kenny Dalglish is about to be sacked.

Apparently, Rafa or Roberto Martinez are considered top choice for the owners.

Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but would the Liverpool fans stand for that? I mean, Kenny is God there. It's a question of success or Dalglish at this point. Sure, he won the Carling Cup, but is that a substantial return on the £100m spent? He seems to lack a strategy beyond long ball to Carroll when he's on the pitch, or hold and break otherwise. Kenny needs to update his thinking. I said it last year that he sets his team out as if it's the 80's style still. The game is a lot more fluid than that now. Even United, one of the great teams at hold-and-break are changing their game to be more pacey.

Younger fans who don't remember Dalglish's first period at the club aren't as bothered about him. The problem with Liverpool is down to whoever agreed to waste all that money on Henderson, Downing and Carroll. I don't know whether it was Dalglish, Commoli or the board themselves but that is looking like a huge mistake.

I'm with everyone on the Blackpool front but just because I still hate Fat Sam. No, not everyone. I want Blackpool to lose and BADLY. I want them to go through the same pain we North End fans had two times, one time at the hands of West Ham.

Why would Roberto Martinez want to go there? They'll hate him and use him as a scapegoat for everything bad in the club purely because he's not the mighty Rafa or some Liverpool legend. Just like with Woy. Personally I hope Kenny stays forever, so the club can continue to wallow in midtable hell with an arrogant, sarcastic twat of a manager.

Add me to the people who'd like to see Blackpool beat West Ham and get back into the Premier League. Blackpool were so exciting to watch in the Premier League last year and Ian Holloway is one of the game's great characters so I'll be pulling for them on Saturday.
But I still think West Ham will win.

Do a bit of research into just how much Roy did wrong at Liverpool before you suggest he was used as a scapegoat. Say what you want about Kenny, but Liverpool have played some pretty good football with him in charge, and have created a lot of chances as well. With a more clinical striker around for the season, we would have done a fair bit better. That's been his one big error for me, not signing one in January. However, under Roy the football was abysmal. He encouraged a very negative style of play which led to situations such as Daniel Agger saying he was being encouraged to not pass the ball out of defence. (Agger was also being droppped for the less technically proficient Carragher and Skrtel at CB, presumably because they would play it long, despite Agger being our best defender.) It never showed signs of improvement, and barring a couple of decent games, we did not play any good football under Hodgson. He also came out with some ridiculous quotes at times, he made it all worse for himself. He wasn't a scapegoat, he was a failure. He's clearly better suited to a club like WBA or Fulham, who have lower expectations and can play a more counter attacking style.

Here's a rumour for ya: John Terry and Joe Cole both to be included in England's squad for Euro 2012.

Here's a rumour for ya: John Terry and Joe Cole both to be included in England's squad for Euro 2012. You missed the most important part, Hodgson is leaving Rio out in favour of Terry which seems a bit wrong. Add me to the group that want Blackpool to win, a nice summer/spring away trip there would be great. More importantly I like Holloway and the way they approached things last time. I mentioned in the last thread that Man City fans weren't arrogant in league 1 and always had a sense of humour, well West Ham are the opposite, only worse as they think they're too good for the championship. Plus who wants to see a big Sam team on TV even more regularly?

I can see Cole, he had a very good season in France and had a flavor of football that the rest of the squad never had ala Owen Hargreves when at Munich. But Terry would be STUPID, he has a court date a few days after the final, been proven to be a disruptive figure and shown that he can not be professional in vital games (the red card against Barca).

I wouldn't take either personally- even Ferguson has said Rio isn't fit for international tournament football any more and Terry has WAY too much baggage. Being a Leyton Orient fan- I would LOVE to see Blackpool win. Not just because Blackpool shouldn't have been relegated last season, or that they play great football, or that Holloway is the most entertaining manager in British football. But because West Ham are a team very hard to like, who have been ridiculously obnoxious over the Olympic stadium saga and are managed and owned by complete tools. Shouldn't Big Sam be managing Real Madrid by now?!

Seen rumours that Ruddy made the team, which I'm totally stoked about if true (though am hoping he's made it along with somebody else ...), but I also saw one that says Zamora made the team?
f*** it, I'll wait until 1pm tomorrow to complain just to be safe.

Pretty credible rumours from various sources say that Rio, Crouch and Micah Richards have been told that they're not a part of the squad, while Kyle Walker has been ruled out through injury.

I do feel for you though, I remember a goood few years back now, when a team I'd never heard of (Preston) came from nowhere to get to the Div1 Play-Off Final. I rooted for them so much only to see them lose to Bolton(?) Always had a soft spot for PNE since. Still want Blackpool to win though .

Kyle Walker I can understand since he's injured. Rio Ferdinand I can understand since he's been terrible for a while now (everytime I see him play anyway), and Terry is the much better defender. Peter Crouch I can deal with, even though I think we should have taken him. Micah Richards being left out though would be f***ing stupid. Our best RB (Walker) is injured so Hodgson is gonna refuse to take our second best RB (Richards). All of which means we are going to ahve to play Glen Johnson who is not a good defender at all. No idea who are cover at RB is gonna be - and if anyone mentions Danny Simpson then I may just not watch the Euro's haha.

Leaving out Micah would be indeed be utterly stupid. My biggest fear is that we're going to take Terry though.

I don't mind them calling up Carroll instead of Crouch. Even at full strength the gulf it quality between us and other teams, such as Spain, Germany, Holland and even France a point, that we don't really have a hope of competing. Best use this tournament then to blood younger players and hope we can be in a stronger position for World Cup 2014, when hopefully guys like Carroll, Jones, Welbeck et al will be able to make a sizeable impact.
