The Beatles. I get thinking they are over exposed, but if they didn't do SOMETHING you like I can't see why.

Justin Bieber.
Now I'm not a fan of his, but I got to give the kid his due. Posted a video on youtube, got a record deal, making a lot of money, and he is dating Selena Gomez.
But by God you can't go to any music video without seeing this comment "This is music. None of that Bieber crap." It could be a man beating a trash can with a dead cat and they will still say it's better the Bieber.

Snooki/Jersey Shore/Kardashians.
No one is forcing you to watch these shows. Are they stupid? Probably. I don't watch so I couldn't say for sure, but I do know that if you feel the need to rant about these people/shows for no real reason then that's just weird. It's even weirder if you're watching the shows and then ranting about them.

Oh, where to begin:
- Goofy face John Cena: He could stand to be more emotional, but I like the fact that he isn't a super-serious badass.
-My LIttle Pony FiM: The memes it spawns are annoying, yes, but the show itself is surprisingly good.
- Lady Gaga: Underneath the insane outfits and the studio tricks with her voice, the girl's got pipes. Don't believe me? Listen to her Tony Bennet duet.
-Peggy Hill: I can see people's issue with Lisa Simpson and Brian Griffin, because they're self-righteous characters that aren't made to look bad very often (Quagmire's rant aside). With Peggy, all of her schemes rightfully blow up in her face.
- Tetsuya Nomura: I know he's got his comfort zones in the form of brooding pretty boys and his use of the zipper, but overall he's a damn fine character designer.
Hip-hop: Yes, Lemmy, it counts as music. Sorry to disappoint you.

Nickelback; I get the critique that they're overexposed (well, not really; on a local radio station, Nickelback hasn't been played once, yet I've heard "Moves Like Jagger" some five times in a day), but some of their music is very good. My main go-to's being Hero, Savin' Me, and You Remind Me. They're not that bad.

~ Genuinely enjoying something- It seems like the only way certain things can be enjoyed is "ironically"or because it's not "Mainstream", or worse because it was promoted by someone else. I just don't understand why it's so unfathomable to be sincere in your likes and dislikes.

Russell Brand.
He's funny and he can sing.
I think everyone's jealous because of Katy Perry

I agree about Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber.
I don't listen to them, but why the Nickleback hate? They must have done something right to lasted as long as they have. Do they suck that bad?
Count me in for some reality shows, though I understand why they should be avoided.

It's the boy band backlash that's been prevalent for decades, only enforced heavily thanks to the internet making it tougher to avoid him. I'll say it fruitlessly because I'm just wasting my energy and making myself look like a jackass, but I'll never get the extreme MLP hate. Ever. I get not liking the show, but every ounce of hatred that comes after just pisses me off because none of it is deserved. Not a one.

Which in and of itself isn't really THAT understandable..... I'm not ashamed to say I went to the NKOTBSB Concert about 6 months ago. It was one hell of a live show, with a special guest of Matthew Morrison (Mr. Shuester from Glee). It was a killer live show and I had a great time. I'd also like to point out that a VERY small contingent of folks against Beiber make reference to a rumor that the fellow that "Discovered" and promoted his first videos is a pedophile/Child Predator.

The Grateful Dead. I can't tell how all my friends ripped on me for liking that band. We were punks and I just somehow found the music enjoyable to listen to alongside Bad Religion and No FX.
I never understood the whole "It's not the music I'm into and I don't understand why they are successful" thing. I mean if someone like something more power to them and they artist they like.
I have to admit I have been guilty of the rap isn't music campaign. I think for me at least because the art of lyric rhyming by itself isn't music by definition, it's, well, rapping, That being said the music that accompanies it is. So, also by definition rap music is indeed music. Even if I don't listen to it and rarely hear a rap song I like.

Oh, and while I do understand people's issues regarding Bella being a poor role model and Edward's often stalkerish behavior, I'm disturbed by the obsessive level of rage against Twilight that some people hold.
Not to mention that a lot of its hatedom is an offshoot of the aformentioned "boy band backlash" in a sense. It's one thing to criticize their acting ability, but the snide and often borderline homophobic comments I hear about Pattinson and Lautner because of how they look in the movies make my brain bleed.

No one's forcing you to watch Snooki/Jersey Shore/Kardashians but even if you dont watch them they are pretty much unavoidable and still show up every where you turn. Its not as simple as choosing not to watch them on tv when youre watching something else and they get brought up.
