It must get real creepy at the after party, then you have booze involved.

Heck, no offense to the guy but Dave Prazak himself, the owner and booker of SHIMMER, is a bit of a known creeper on the girls.
It's why he's had a falling out with a few of the former talents.

Want to know the sad part? I don't think all these guys are super into Deeb because she's an attractive young lady, but because she used to hang out with Punk. This wouldn't surprise me at all, really. Plus, since she shaved her head, her look is "out of the norm", and wrestling fans somehow foster ridiculous obsessions over those girls(Evidence: Daffney). The idea of her look being an attraction isn't all that strange. If you like goths, you'll like Daffney (and Von Eerie, for that matter); it's not 'cause she's "out of the norm," so much as she fits your ideal woman. The same people who like them would probably like Cristina Scabbia too, and she's never stepped in a ring.

I've had the opportunity to meet and talk to her, she's for real. It's not just a gimmick. I'm not going to obsess over her, I'm not going to tell people they are wrong for not liking her, but it's why she's cool to me. Christina Scabbia? HAWT!

Now she looks a little like Roxxi when her hair grew back in as well. I believe she has some Japanese dates with SMASH in October. As for SHIMMER, I wouldn't be surprised if you have guys saying some inappropriate things to these ladies at shows...not called for in the least bit, but I can imagine it happens.

I'm honestly not a big fan of SHIMMER, but I am a big fan of Ice Ribbon and 19 Girls Wrestling.

I went to a Shimmer super show (4 shows in two days) and the fans all seemed okay.
I didn't go to any of the afterparties, but during the shows themselves the fans all seemed to keep a respectable distance.
For those guys going to Berwyn for the shows - its a really fun time and the wrestlers are usually super friendly too.
Funny story #1: The merch table was really crowded so I stayed in my seat during intermission to avoid the crowd - Cheerleader Melissa, Ariel and Roxxi couldn't get a spot at the tables so they set up shop right next to me to sell their stuff. I watched them meet & greet fans and sell stuff for like 20 mins. But was completely surrounded by a huge crowd, which I was trying to avoid.
Funny story #2: Ariel (who hadn't wrestled yet) was standing directly in front of me so just to mess with her I told her, "Hey - great match by the way - you really kicked ass." She gave me a funny look and said, "I haven't actually wrestled yet." I just shrugged like, "Meh" and then bought her coloring book. Good times. That girl is super short btw.

Stories? Yes, I'd like to hear some too. Plus, I wonder if that would have anything to do with talent working with (or preferring to) WSU, which I would assume would be the sleazier fed of the two.

Not much to them, really. It's been one of those out in the open things for a while. Punk, Cabana and Hero, others have made jokes about it dating back to the IWA: MS days for all of them (that Prazak's a creeper). I remember interviews with Mickie Knuckles and Lacey where they both brought it up about their times in IWA: MS, Lacey a bit more jokingly (Mickie was a little less happy about it though that might've been because of who she was with at the time and Prazak bailing on Ian).
Most of the parties involved haven't said much about it but it is why some have chosen WSU over working with him, and other places (that are more male based) too. I've heard from parties still with the company about it too but they deal with it 'cause it's just how he is. He's not a total sleaze that's plotting to date rape everyone but he is a bit....well...like some of SHIMMER's fanbase.
It's one of the reasons Knox and him had a falling out and bad blood for so long. I also know Madison Rayne's brought up his treatment of her before.

He's a tad... weird. Not that this singles him out in the business because there's far worse.

Allison Danger actually said Prazak is one of the better promoters out there for that kind of thing. Of course, that was around the time the company first started and she was (is?) involved in the office.

Yeah, no offense to Allison but her being apart of staff like she still is makes me have a hard time buying what she says over many others, including his own friends.

There are these type of fans for male wrestlers as well look at some of the hardy fan girls for god sakes Well, yeah, but those are generally fewer and farther between. I'm convinced there are some fans, here and elsewhere, that would lick dirt if you told them Mickie James was standing there a few minutes ago. Don't forget about that one guy who threatens to bomb WWE because they fired Mickie James.

There's a thin line between being a big fan and writing weird love letters to your objection of obsession.

This'll be my 4th time going to see Shimmer, and none of the shows have had any of that at them. It's generally pretty respectful. The worst thing I've encountered fanwise is people who are as loud as they think they are funny. Sat right near the guy at the last tapings and definitely regretted it. Really awkward heckling for the lose.
I find it amusing that there's a contingent of people who make what looks like professionally printed banners and the like for the shows considering how small they are, but hey, I'm not one to judge others' fandom.
