I was so hoping that's what this thread was about. I totally had one of those, 75% of the games were Tetris clones and variations

Why play Street Fighter II for the Super Nintendo when you could play RACE CAR!!!

Shooting Attack may be one of the most generic titles ever.

My Grandma bought one for her house too. Once she figured out it was a bunch of Tetris clones and all us kids were done with it about the third or forth time we played it (a lot of that having to do with me ramping high scores through the roof and resulting in someone hitting reset), she shelled out for a Game Boy Color and Link's Awakening DX. It came in handy when she got SMB Deluxe so we could do the link cable stuff.

30 of the games were also Contra. Not clones, they were all actually Contra, just labeled differently 30 times.

Shooting Attack may be one of the most generic titles ever. But it fits in your shirt pocket! And doesn't make it bulky or weird looking at all

30 of the games were also Contra. Not clones, they were all actually Contra, just labeled differently 30 times. 1) You're thinking of the one you connect to TV. 2) That pales in comparison to the 61 Super Mario Brothers.

I had one! Played the hell out of it for a week, went back to my SNES/Genesis, and never touched it again.

Even back then I knew this was a scam.
Although from what I've seen, it's still a better deal (and probably at least has ONE good game) than Action 52.

I love it when you get someone (usually a grandparent) who knows you play games, and knows what system you have. Then they run across something that's like 99 in 1 or 60 in 1 or whatever and they figure, "WOW! They're gonna love this! Surely there's at least a handful of great games in this!"
But no... there's never anything remotely good, or remotely considered a game in them.

Even back then I knew this was a scam. Although from what I've seen, it's still a better deal (and probably at least has ONE good game) than Action 52. Being somewhat of a Tetris dork, the variants they have on it are rather fun, if a little gimmicky. One version had a ghost piece that could go through other bricks, as long as there was a hollow space to get to below. Another had a "spaceship" piece that came up from time to time that when it shot, it dropped seperate single bricks. There was also an upside-down Tetris where the pieces flew upwards, and one which I can only describe as having the floor slide. With each piece that dropped, the entire game scrolled to the right, with the rightmost row ending up back at the left side of the screen again. It was worthless on low speeds, but on higher speeds it made it tough as hell.

30 of the games were also Contra. Not clones, they were all actually Contra, just labeled differently 30 times. I love when they set up a kiosk in the mall to sell those. How brazen must you be to just take roms and set up shop and try to sell them as your own.

I used to have that! I remember the games being almost impossible due to the terribly dim screen unless you're shining a huge light in front of it x.x

Yeah, go ahead and throw away Street Fighter II, because you can SO play that on here.
And yes...never ever buy another expensive cartridge again, because they'll never ever make any new games.
