The only one I have is the Bengals for the NFL, and that's because my best friend is a huge Bengals fan. I know almost as much about them as I do about the Pats.
Although, we've agreed that if they ever meet in the AFC Championship, we can't watch that game together.

NFL: New York Jets. Although my attitude has soured on them in light of Rex Ryan's boisterousness as of late, I still like to see them give the Patriots fits... of course, that didn't happen this year at all.
MLB: San Francisco Giants. Liked them since the Barry Bonds days.

NFL- Indianapolis Colts: I'm primarily a San Francisco 49ers fan, but damn it if Peyton Manning isn't an amazing football player. That and I like Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Dallas Clark, and Dwight Freeney.
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals: I like St. Louis the city a lot and when I saw their stadium up close, I was little blown away at how beautiful it was. That and I like the culture that they have going on throughout the entire franchise. (doesn't hurt that the Angels have Pujols now)
NHL - Boston Bruins: My sister went to college and now lives in Boston, so I support them in her honor. That and I like their philosophy on the game of playing at a high skill while still being able to bust you in the mother f***ing mouth if need be. Not to mention that that they beat Vancouver in the finals last year and that was just... awesome.
NBA - If the Lakers aren't in it anymore, then it better be someone that isn't the Celtics, Clippers, or Heat.

MLB: I have two teams I equally cheer. I grew up in Tampa and got hooked on the Atlanta Braves before we got the Rays. I have had an equal allegiance to both teams since 1998. I do have family that cheer for the Cubs and the Padres, so those are my "backup" teams.
NFL: Any team that sucks for a really long time, only to become playoff contenders. Lately those teams were the Lions and the Texans.
NCAA: I go to UCF, so go Knights. My second team is the Florida State Seminoles, the team I grew up following. Chris Weinke, Peter Warrick and the 1999 Seminoles were one of my favorite college football teams ever. I also followed USF growing up, but as a loyal Knight I can't cheer for them as I used to. EDIT: How could I forget the Alabama Crimson Tide? They were always my dad's favorite team, and I like watching them stick it to the Florida Gators.
Basically, about 75% of what dabossftw said.

The only "consistent" second team I have is the Jets. I'm a Giants fan, but a lot of my family cheers for Gang Green, and I like seeing them do well and gladly cheer with them. . i used to be like that too, then came a long Rex Ryan. I actually don't know how I became a Giants fan. My Dad was a big Jet fan, and every other sport my brothers and I became fans of the teams our father rasied us to be (Mets and Rangers) I don't know if it's because I liked the color blue over green as a kid, or if It was because I loved the movie "Little Giants" but I went the other way on the NFL.

I've always had a soft spot for the Buffalo Bills. Jim Kelly was my favorite player when I was little (he was the 1st professional athlete I heard of who had the same first name as me, he had the best number for a quarterback IMO, their offense in his prime was just ridiculous), I loved the team colors and logos, and whenever I play Season mode in Madden I always pick Buffalo since I'm pretty good with them.

The Chicago Blackhawks would be my second team followed by the Jets at third. I do like the Islanders, Leafs, Canucks (any team that gets under the skin of the Bruins is fine by me), and the Oilers. Nothing beats my incredibly depressing Habs of course.

Newcastle - My Grandad is a Geordie and we went to localish matches when I was younger so I have a soft spot for them.
Barcelona – I like the current team (except Busquets) rather than the actual club.

MLB: First team: Philadelphia Phillies. Second team: None, though I used to like to root for the Red Sox in the AL (mostly because I hate the Yankees), I've begun to find Sox fans almost as annoying as Yankee fans. Nowadays, it's the Rays (or the Orioles until around June when they usually fall completely out of the division race).
NFL: First team: New York Giants. Second team: Green Bay Packers. Everything that people have already said about the franchise rings true, plus my dad is a big Pack fan. I've actually even been to Green Bay for a Packers game, and I have to say that it's a beautiful place, and the atmosphere in Green Bay on gameday is unreplicatable.
NBA: First team: Chicago Bulls. Second team: Philadelphia 76ers. I am a Bulls fan from the Jordan years who has kind of become a Sixers fan based solely on living where I do (eastern PA) and the fact that post-Jordan, pre-Derrick Rose, the Bulls were kind of hard to follow.
NHL: First team: Philadelphia Flyers. Second team: None. I honestly just got into hockey about 5 years ago and other than my first year, in which the Flyers were horrible (a fluke year, btw), they've been good enough so as to keep my attention. Usually, I'll just root for Canada if the Flyers aren't involved (unlike my friend Chuck who always roots against Canada, just to be a dick) because of how much Canadians really care about hockey!

NFL: First Team Oakland Raiders. Second Team: New York Jets. For whatever reason, I've always liked the Jets going back to the Parcells years. Can't put my finger on it because I'm more of a West Coast/Mountain guy when it comes to sports and life in general. Namath is also one of my favorite players ever, so that might be it.
MLB: First Team - Colorado Rockies. Second Team: Kansas City Royals. I currently live in the Kansas City metro area and it's not like you can say I'm bandwagoning the Royals. They've been absolutely terrible for years.
NBA: First Team - Denver Nuggets. Second Team: Los Angeles Lakers. Magic Johnson is my favorite athlete ever and I grew up watching him during his dominant period. Special player and I've always liked the Lakers since then.
NHL: First Team - Colorado Avalanche. Second Team: San Jose Sharks. This is one of those lame reasons, but Jaws is one of my Top 10 favorite movies ever. Kansas City also used to have a minor league hockey team that was connected to San Jose and a lot of our players ended up there, so they have some sort of connection.
NCAA: First Team - Missouri Tigers. Second Team: Miami Hurricanes. Miami routinely beat Oklahoma and Nebraska in both the 1980s and 1990s, two teams I hate. OU and Nebraska absolutely murdered Mizzou in my lifetime until Gary Pinkel became head coach, so Miami winning was like our bigger brother standing up to the teams who clowned on Missouri.

I also have a pretty lame reason for liking the Pittsburgh Penguins (except when they play the Devils), though I don't like them enough to consider them a second team. Penguins are one of my favorite animals, so I like anything that has to do with them.

Favorites:
NFL - Detroit Lions MLB - Detroit Tigers NBA - Indiana Pacers NHL - Chicago Blackhawks
Second Favorites:
NFL - Pittsburgh Steelers(my Dad is a lifelong fan so I support them because of him) MLB - Used to be the Pittsburgh Pirates but it's the Arizona Diamondbacks now because they have Kirk Gibson as manager and Alan Trammell as bench coach(two former Tigers). NBA - San Antonio Spurs(was a huge David Robinson fan growing up and still support them) NHL - Columbus Blue Jackets(I've watched them so much on Fox Sports Ohio that they've grown on me).

You have the same reason as my brother on why the SJS are his 2nd favorite hockey team.
