Another negative: I don't know how many of you have seen "Hook", but I would've loved a "Fireflies from hell!" reference.
Oh, and I marked for the opening titles. It was a matter of when, obviously.

Count me in the camp who enjoyed it. I got a giggly thrill out of the X-Files opening and I've never even seen that show. It's just so nerdy and perfect and like Friskey said, it was only a matter of when. I love when they do special opening credits. Actually now I'm curious about everyone's favorite title cards (because I'm that big of a dork.) Not counting the special ones though because then obviously the one from Changing Channels would be the clear winner Oh and to add on to what Jedi-El said about Cas being the only one who couldn't tell without checking that Sam doesn't have a soul - I wonder if there's a reason for that. It seems like a big kind of thing to have them not explain.

If you do, my suggestion is to stop after season 7. It's a show that stars slow, but explodes into pure greatness in the middle seasons.

My best friend (who also loves Supernatural) loves the show but I've never seen a single episode. It's never been a show I've felt compelled to check out. Supernatural is a little bit of an anomaly for me since generally speaking I've never really been into that kind of thing, but who knows? Maybe this show is the start of an interest I never knew I had lol. I've heard what you're saying about season 7 before, though. I feel like a bunch of people feel the same way because that definitely sounds familiar.

If we're going by favorite title cards? Honestly...i'm loving this season's. It's simple in design, really. Season two is a close second. And if we're counting "special" title cards...well, DUH! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qG6V0Q59Q8 (can't embed)

Plus season 2 is my favorite season 4 - Season 6, because I feel middle of the road about it lol 5 - Season 1, because it's so simple in comparison 6 - Season 4, because I like to watch Supernatural in the dark (told you, I'm a dork) and the flapping crow wings drove me crazy I love that sitcom opening from Changing Channels. That whole episode was brilliant.

I love when we do nerdy ranking games in here, lol.
My list:
1) Season 3 - It has a more apocalyptic feel to it than the season ABOUT the Apocalypse! 2) Season 2 - Love the hell fire. Plus the pentagram A is clever. I like that they subtly inserted it back in to the one for this season. 3) Season 5 - Totally different from any of the others. The blood is rad.
4) Season 6 - While I don't care for the ROLE REVERSAL!!! I like that they incorporated it in to the opening. Plus as I mentioned, the return of the pentagram A. 5) Season 4 - I didn't mind the crows. Actually think they suited the season rather well. Chaotic scene and all. 6) Season 1 - Simple is fine, but it's not as rad as the others.

1. Season 2 - I loved the fire, in particular with how this show started. 2. Season 5 - The blood is a nice touch, but it's the heartbeat that makes it even better. 3. Season 3 - Just a cool effect. 4. Season 4 - The crows are a nice addition 5. Season 1 - Yeah, it's simple but works. 6. Season 6 - Not bad but with the glass shattering, it makes it look like it was made for 3D.

If anyone's interested, season five is on sale on amazon for 18.49, which is much much better than the $35 - $45 range I usually see it for. Needless to say, I got my copy (and it shipped today, woo-hoo!!)

S5 is also on sale on Blu-Ray for $26.99, which is also the case for S3 and S4. S1 on Blu-Ray is $32.99, since it just came out on the format. S2, on the other hand...is not out on the format yet.

I had a feeling the entire series was on sale when you mentioned that the 5th season was cheap. If one season is cheap, usually the rest of them are as well. Last year, I remember for awhile that they were on sale for $20 at Wal-Mart, which is why I believe my brother got me Season 1 for Xmas last year. Because it was cheap and because he was only halfway through the first season when he got me that, haha.

And all off amazon now that I think about it. Random, but true. Last year I got season four on sale on Thanksgiving too. The others I just got because they were randomly on sale. The older the season, the more amazon tends to do that, which is why season five being on sale the way season four had been was exciting to me lol.

k, I thought that was really good. After they cut the active story lines in half and did away with the unnecessary supporting characters, the show began hitting its stride. Things tend to bomb once they get to the mid season finale, or at least they have in recent years for me. Tonight was a fantastic episode, and next week we get Death and I'm assuming some resolution to Sam and his soul.
Plus, Cas and the porn was the Castiel we've all grown to know and love.
"If the pizza man truly loves this babysitter, why does he keep slapping her rear? Perhaps she's done something wrong."
Then, "We aren't supposed to talk about it."
Oh yeah, and his boner. Heeeeeeh.

Yes, I was happy to see the Castiel we all know and love.
