Liverpool really need to make the Champions League this year. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if Barcelona come sniffing around Suarez.

An American team finally beat an international side as Orlando City of the 3rd tier of the American system beat Newcastle 1-0. At least Orlando City is currently in 1st place of their tier.

Leeds have signed Andy Lonergan from Preston. From what I've seen of him he's a decent keeper, just need to sign a left back and try and get in a decent striker on loan for the start of the season.

Mario Balotelli, what a legend Bit hard on him to get subbed for it. If he'd have scored people would have been saying how good it was. Really don't know how much longer he'll last in English football, especially if Dzeko starts playing, Tevez stays and the Aguero move happens. Seems like the only reason he's still there is because Mancini likes him but looks like he's running out of patience.

I really hate the Sponsor on Barcelona's shirt. It's not that they finally have a sponsor paying them, it's that it looks cheap. It's as if someone said "here's a rough outline for it" and someone said "Yep. We'll take it".

Anyone else think Thierry Henry might be the player in the MLS right now?

That mint green abomination they played in tonight is beyond words.

Not sure what Liverpool are getting out of these friendlies, other than pastings.

Not sure what Liverpool are getting out of these friendlies, other than pastings. The chance to give the reserve team a run out I suppose. Of course, it had to be Milan Baros who scored two. Liverpool's pre-seasons have nearly always been crap as far back as I can remember. There's been a few decent summers but for the most part, I seem to remember us losing.

I was amazed to see that Degan still exists.

USMNT just fired Bob Bradley. Sounds like Jurgen Klinsmann is the next manager for the US. Dark Horses? Sergio Batista, Jason Kreis, and Claudio Reyna

it all depends. Only reason he wasn't named coach in the past is because he didn't like how the US ran their youth system. He wanted full control (which is too much).
Since the last time he was offered the job, Reyna has been placed in charge of the youth system and he has completely revamped how things are ran. He bases the US camp off of what Dutch teams like AJAX do with their youth.

Put me down for Kreis as manager. He's great tactically and prep-wise might be the best manager in America. I like Klinsmann, but we need a new exciting direction and I think Kreis is that guy.
