......In your eyes, 2009 Saints vs Vikings. It was the first time I ever swore in front of my mother. Such an awful day that was. Also throwing in a bonus season with the 2011 Marlins.

2005 AFC Championship loss to the Steelers - still stings to this day just thinking about it, absolutely awful day to be a Bronco fan.

I'm not really much of a sports guy, but Englands whole performance in the 2010 World Cup...hurt.

2007 NFC Championship Game. Packers vs. Giants. The weird thing is that the 2011 Divisional Round doesn't hurt as much, because at least with that, we all knew why the Packers lost. 'S why I took it easier. But 2007 man...we should've won that. In our home field, in the freezing cold, and we blew it. What doesn't help is my brother being a hardcore Giants fan. When Tynes kicked that FG, we both collapsed on the floor.

Saints beating my Colts in the SB. Man, if that onside kick had bit the Saints in the ass it would have been a different game.

As a Hawthorn Hawks fans the most obvious answer is the loss to the Collingwood Magpies in last years Prelim Final.
But no, each loss to the Geelong Cats gets more crushing with every one. It is almost always a close game, with the Hawks sometimes in a winning position. (The Hawks have not beaten the Cats since the 2008 AFL Grand Final, apparently the Geelong team have trouble letting that loss go).

Oiler's losing in the SCF to Carolina Hurricanes in 2006. I would say losing Game One was more heartbreaking then losing Game Seven because that was when you knew the series was over for you. Especially when your team MVP got injured for the rest of the series which probably costed the Oilers from winning the Stanley Cup and the ridiculous stupid play from the backup goalie. Just read this non-hockey/casual fans. {Spoiler}In game one, Carolina tied the biggest comeback in Stanley Cup Finals history, overcoming a three-goal deficit to win, 5–4. Edmonton scored first, 8:18 into the first period, with a goal from Fernando Pisani. In the second period, Chris Pronger scored the first penalty shot goal in Stanley Cup Finals history after defenceman Niclas Wallin illegally covered the puck inside his own goal crease, and Ethan Moreau's goal at 16:23 gave the Oilers a 3–0 lead. But at the 17:17 mark, Rod Brind'Amour scored the Hurricanes' first goal of the game. Carolina then tied the game in the third period with two scores by Ray Whitney. The Hurricanes jumped ahead, 4–3, on a shorthanded breakaway goal by Justin Williams, but Edmonton's Ales Hemsky scored on a power play to tie the game with 6:29 remaining. Late in the final period, Oilers goalie Dwayne Roloson suffered a series-ending knee injury in a collision and was replaced with Ty Conklin. With 32 seconds to go in regulation, Conklin misplayed the puck behind his own net, and it deflected off Jason Smith's stick to the front of the empty net, allowing Brind'Amour to score the winning goal. Hurricanes' netminder Cam Ward had to make the last of his 34 saves with 3.8 seconds remaining, robbing Shawn Horcoff for the second time in the third period with a glove save to preserve the victory. The move that most likely costed the Oilers a Stanley Cup

2005 AFC Championship loss to the Steelers - still stings to this day just thinking about it, absolutely awful day to be a Bronco fan. This, along with the 1997 divisional round game vs. the expansion team Jacksonville Jaguars. We were 13-3 with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. We choked to them at home after our bye-week. Only thing that eased that pain a bit was the fact we won the next 2 Super Bowls. 2006 (2005 season) AFC Champ. game was awful as well. Again 13-3 season. The previous week the #1 seed Colts choked at home to the Steelers. We had them at home and was one game away from the Super Bowl.....ugh... getting depressed just thing about it again.

The Western Bulldogs-Adelaide Crows 1997 prelim final. My Doggies were in control for nearly all of the match before things just fell apart in the fourth quarter thanks to Andrew Jarman.
A video of the highlights of the last quarter for those interested. Bulldogs were wasteful and Jarman was in brilliant form for this match.

Sickening. The worst 90 minutes I've seen from a Newcastle United team.
EDIT: The loss to Villa that saw us relegated for the first time in my life was pretty hard to take too.

Eh, this most recent 9ers loss to the Giants hit me pretty bad, just because after such a great comeback season, one jerkoff had to fumble the ball twice in returns and pretty much handed New York the game.

Man City losing 4-3 at Old Trafford in the 6th minute of the 4 minutes of stoppage time. Mark Hughes demanding an explanation from the 4th official who just looks away while Hughes demands to know why they are playing on will forever live in my memory.
But we beat them 6-1 this year so I guess im over it..
And of course, I have to mention the Billy Cundiff show in the playoffs this year.

Iowa State vs Michigan State in the NCAA Elite 8.
Complete with Coach running out in the middle of the court during the game to thank the Ref for throwing the game.
