That's one thing that has bugged me about Beth and Natalya.. I understand attacking Kelly for being Barbie Doll... but attacking two really athletic Latinas (Eve and AJ), one who does MMA training and the other who actually WRESTLES seems kinda of pointless. You'e right. I mean, it started off as an actual indictment on the current state of the Divas' division, but somehow it morphed into sort of a female version of Scott Steiner's "size does matter" shtick. It boggles the mind. not really? People have been complaining about all the models in the WWE for years. Beth and Natty were talking about fromt he beginning they were the only real women in the division. But Kelly Kelly and Maryse are the only ones currently who fit the Barbie image and Maryse is out. So... where were they supposed to go?

Yeah, I'm a Filipina and I didn't even cheer for Batista when he came here. Lol. But AJ is possibly part-Filipina? News to me! It would be awesome if she was. Oh wait, this is about Beth and Nattie... I love them to death but their promos just sound so forced.

I actually liked Eve's promo last night. Even though her speaking was kind of fragmented, she came across as legitimately angry and fed up with Beth and Natalya, and she had something of substance to say. I think all three women were great in that segment, and it was nice for the Divas to actually get some mic time.

Since when are Filipinos Hispanic? 2. Eve rarely incorporates anything MMA-esque into her wrestling and doesn't dress, carry herself or behave like a wrestler (slutty ring gear, bad dropkicks, more ass-shaking than a Wrekx-n-Effect music video), so singling her out is also justified. I'm going to be majorly disappointed when Eve wins this thing. The crowd doesn't give a f*** about her, so why bother pushing her when they could just use someone more warmly-received who can therefore be a better asset to the women's division and the company? Actually, the constant pushing of her has been one of the single most mystifying and irritating things about the WWE for me. It is so indicative of what's wrong with their business model, by and large. well in their defense there isn;t really anyone warmly received on the divas side unless you count Kelly and they've already run a several month program with her. AJ and Kaitlyn are probably still thought of as too green/new and Alicia gets less of a reaction than Eve does imo. so by default they go back to Eve who at least has a storyline connection as Kelly's BFF (until one turns heel of course) to the Divas of Doom/Destruction/Sisters of Salvation/whatever they'll be called next month.

The only Diva that I have seen that gets any reaction at all that's not named Kelly Kelly is AJ.
I would like to see her in a title feud, but I think it's too early for her. Plus she's been Beth's person jobber for months, so there's no drama, there.

Plus she's been Beth's person jobber for months, so there's no drama, there. By what measure is too early, though? When Sheamus started feuding with Cena, he was in his first year. And Dolph* and Jack Swagger were both in their second years when they started getting a taste of the main event. Starting from her debut on NXT3 (and not counting it going to Internet after the third or fourth episode) AJ's close to entering her second year on WWETV. Also, considering how over she actually is (contrast to Swagger in 2010), as well as how shallow the Divas roster is for talent, I think they could make an exception for her. * I know Dolph was in the company years before as Spirit Squad Nicky and Kerwin White's caddy. In the case above, I mean his second year under the "Dolph Ziggler" gimmick.

It's not just a "now" thing, though. They always push Eve, even when there's better people around, like when they still had Melina and Gail Kim (Gail wasn't any more over than Eve, but is at least a better wrestler), or an even better example is with Natalya. Natalya had FINALLY gotten over as a face by her own accord (it took a lot of work but they managed to do it) and had finally beaten LayCool. Then, for no reason in particular, they gave Eve the belt and pushed Nattie to the wayside. Why? Why boot someone more popular and more talented in the ring (and not any less capable of speaking or playing a character) from the championship in favor of a steaming heap of mediocrity? And it's still going on with Kelly. I figured they had something long-term with her. She's quite popular, after all. But then they just had her lose the belt and even though she's still in the feud, they move her out of the way to push Eve friggin' Torres yet again. Why?

Well, in the case of Kelly, it's to prevent a fourth straight PPV match between her and Beth.
Not even Randy Orton and Christian did that.

Because they found out the hard way barbie dolls can't bump? Or act? I'd rather the two of them than Beth v Kelly # 12046.

This promo was kind of stupid to me.
Look at the three women in the ring. Which one of them looks the most like barbie? Hint: It's not Eve.
It just very hypocritical for Beth and Nattie to have started dressing exactly like the thing that they are supposed to be speaking out against. And I don't buy the whole "pin up strong" thing. What is it that pin-up models are often compared to by women? That's right, a barbie doll.
Overall, it just seems like a very immature, and shallow thing for women who are supposed to be competing for a world championship to be arguing over.
Also, unrelated, but damn Beth is very skinny now. Eve probably outweighs her, and maybe Natalya too. Maybe she slimming down on purpose to make her and Kelly Kelly look more like equals in the ring, but I just can't buy the "glamazon" moniker anymore. Especially after two very clean losses. If anybody in that ring last night looked like an amazon it was Eve.
In fact, Eve has such a winning streak now, and could be considered a "big woman" in her own right that WWE ought to be capitalizing on it and pushing her as a sort of a face powerhouse.

Eve was hot as all hell, but her promo was painfully dull. Generic Babyfacing at it's finest.

Now, that I finally saw the full segment:
1) Beth is horrible on mic. I mean, WOW!
2) That outfit was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, and amusingly almost did.
3) If this angle does not end with everyone the Divas Of Doom have victimized over the past few months giving Beth and Nattie their finishers and whoever the Babyface challenger is winning the title, I will be really upset.

I thought the promo was indicative that the Divas division is going in a better direction. It's a personal issue, the women stay classy and don't go to the "stupid WHORE! card" but still bring some intensity, and it's based on seeing who's the best in the end.
I also feel that Eve is potentially a huge asset to the Divas going forward. Remember, she's only wrestled for 2 years. She's extremely athletic and can take big bumps...she just needs to bring it all together in terms of her offense and being smooth in the ring. If she could dial down trying to fit so many crazy moves into 2 minute matches she'd be well on her way.

I'd like for them to move on to someone else with a bigger upside.
