"Man, Randy Orton is RED HOT after punting the McMahons! There's no way they can mess this up!"
Result: Triple H vs. Randy Orton at the main event of Wrestlemania 25. Triple H wins.
Just wanna remind people of that. I'm not saying that's how it's gonna go down, or that this Punk/HHH angle is ruined and Punk's momentum is dead or any of that. But, IF it does go down that path, don't be surprised.
As you were.

Maybe I should have been more precise. I have no problem with people calling out crap when they see it, hell I think it should be done as often as possible. Thing is, it's one thing to call bulls***, but it's another thing entirely when you're claiming a storyline is "ruined" every single week. I would consider Chris Jericho's wait-and-see approach: to me Orton/Christian, while having a lot of great matches, should have ended as a storyline around Over The Limit. After that, the storyline-aspect of it, to put it bluntly, kinda failed. The Punk storyline, on the other hand, particularly the Punk vs Establishment facet, hasn't truly been given a lot of chance to evolve since about Summerslam. Now, a lot of that blame does go to WWE for jumping the gun a bit, but there has also been a lot of cases of people looking for dark clouds in a relatively clear sky.
I'm not asking anyone to kiss the WWE's ass or be sycophants, but there has been a lot of calls of ruined over relatively minor things.

I remember sitting in my seat at No Way Out just shaking my head at it taking three guys for Orton to barely eek out a win over a non-wrestler in his 40's.

I gave it a chance, I waited and saw.
And they dropped the ball. Completely. Its like the writers needed to flex their creative muscles or something, and decided to add in a bunch of unnecessary plot points. I don't think anyone of them can see the forest from the trees.
So yeah, pretty bummed about this. I'm not gonna blame HHH though, I think it was a group effort.

RVD Loses: Y'all are just HHHaters.
Booker Loses: Quit whining HHHaters.
Kane loses: Shut up HHHaters!
Goldberg and Kane: HHHaters gonna HHHate!
Benoit is the Champ, Hunter is still the focus of the show: HHHaters!
Randy Orton gets buried after a month: HHHATERS!
Granted there's been a cooling down period since then, but all of a sudden, big huge angle, Hunter's gotta be in the center of it. If Hunter loses, I won't mark Punk on HHH's list of 'I need to look better than this guy' moments, but I'm really sick of the HHHaters defense.

Not to mention the RAW weeks prior when Shane's "fist of furby" managed to take out all three members of Legacy! Not one to call "berries" too often, but when Shane frickin' McMahon takes out your whole group, that group is pretty much neutered.

As much hate at HHH gets for being a spotlight hog...I think he knows when he needs to do what's right for business.
I doubt he would sabotage Punk.

Whenever HHH's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's HHH?".

I practically forgot about Shane taking out Legacy by himself, although, I guess that IS why my mind tried to sweep that memory under the rug. But Orton did end up punting Shane into a concussion at the end.

For the record, Cena made himself. HHH had very little to do with it. Cena had good, even great wrestlers to play off of, but there is no specific Cena moment where you could say "now this guy's a star". That's cause he got over with the humanoids on his own merit/talent. I guess you missed 2004 when they shoved the guy down our throats every chance they got.

Whenever HHH's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's HHH?". and he should have access to a time machine. that way he can make people forget about him getting squashed by Warrior

As much hate at HHH gets for being a spotlight hog...I think he knows when he needs to do what's right for business. I doubt he would sabotage Punk. Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Kane, Randy Orton, MVP, and Booker T would like to have a word with you.
