Cryme Tyme having a "Ho Sale" for Lita after her last match. Still pisses me off. "Bark like a Dog!". Just......why? Can someone explain to me what this whole "Ho Sale" thing is? I googled it, but all I can find are videos, and my sound's being wonky at the moment. Even the title of it sounds absolutely terrible, though.

One that I didn't see mentioned: Molly Holly is fat. Say what you want about Piggy James, but that right there is 1000x worst. We were suppose to call her fat because she was a heel, even though she is in good shape? Come on! That, and also the stuff about her being a virgin and the granny panties stuff. Also, when Trish was making fun of her weight, that's a heel tactic in my opinion and she was a face at the time.

Earlier in the night, Edge and Lita had a backstage interview, but in the background, Cryme Tyme snuck into their dressing room and stole a box of stuff. Lita goes out and has her title match with Mickie James, in what would be her last WWE match to date. After losing to Mickie, Lita gets on the mic and starts ripping on the crowd. The "fun" starts when Cryme Tyme come out with the box and proclaim that they are going to sell the stuff in the box to people in the crowd. They proceed to do so, unveiling increasingly embarrassing stuff, like g-strings, yeast infection cream and what is implied to be a vibrator, all while Lita is begging them to stop.

We were suppose to call her fat because she was a heel, even though she is in good shape? Come on! And it directly led to Molly Holly quitting. It was like WWE didn't learn. Let's give a good female wrestler that we need to put our model divas over, etc... a degrading angle that makes fun of the way she looks, convincing the audience that she's fat. Oh-you want to quit? Gee, I can't imagine why...hey, let's make sure Lita re-signs again. What do you mean she doesn't like all those slut jokes from John Cena? Well, she'll be back in like a year. Oh--so the ho sale was a problem? Wha? The worse part about the segment where she starts ripping on the crowd is the speech she gave...I went and looked it up: "What is the matter with you people? I did everything for you! I broke my neck! All I'm asking for is a little bit of respect, can you just stop for one second? I am the greatest woman's champion--" and then Cryme Tyme interrupts and she starts begging for them to stop, simultaneously sounding like she's crying. To Lita's credit she played that off very well--the joking aspect of it, "'C'mon guys--one dollar??" in response to a fan's bid, but still--it was painful. And you know, because I enjoy torturing myself, all of this was preceded by Lita's best heel promo in the WWE, and she said she wrote it herself. She said she wrote it from a heel perspective and obviously didn't believe that she created women's wrestling, etc... but did feel there was a bit of truth to it. If you haven't seen it I suggest searching "Lita leaves the WWE" or "Lita announces her retirement" she got all her emotion and anger out there.

I actually find it kind of pathetic that someone came up with that, and thought it an acceptable send off for anyone. Maybe if it had been in a storyline and served some kind of purpose in the end (even then, they'd be hard-pressed to make it seem "worth it" in any way...), but a send-off? Nuh-uh.

Instead of the Vince/Trish segment I'm gonna throw this one out to see what you all think...
Brian Pillman's XXX Files?

Instead of the Vince/Trish segment I'm gonna throw this one out to see what you all think... Brian Pillman's XXX Files? Yeah, that was pretty bad. The thing is that there was just so much trashy stuff during that era that they all kind of blur together. I'll have to throw my vote to Lita's retirement angle as well. I'm all for the heel getting their comeuppance, but I kind of draw the line at implying that they have a yeast infection.

My sociology professor used Vince/Trish to attempt to prove a point once. Namely, the usual stereotypes associated with pro wrestling. Really didn't help that the audience was cheering. The documentary she used was called Wrestling with Manhood. It's on youtube. That documentary makes wrestling look AWFUL, and in retrospect, the Attitude Era looks like hot garbage because of it, strictly speaking in context of the documentary. EDIT: Aaaaaaaaand it just crushed its credibility by arguing the gay undertones using a bunch of slo mo clips while playing "Ass Man" in the background.

I still think the the combination of the reuse of the Billy and Chuck theme, and the Hog Pen match at Extreme Rules '09 made Santina's existence worth it. Debra winning the Women's Championship by losing a bra and panties match, now, that was degrading to the title. Didn't the Kat win the Women's Title due to beating someone in a mud match? By the way, NXT3 was so bad it turned me against NXT altogether.

Yeah, that's all wrestling's fault."

I guess I'm just twisted but I don't get the hate for the Vince/Trish moment. I thought it was hilarious. GET on your hands and knees like a DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!
Paul Heyman going nuts and seemingly marking out during it didn't help matters much.

This is about the second documentary I've seen from him that seems to place the blame squarely on entertainment. Wrestling isn't the problem, nor is music videos (the first doc of his I saw, during Anthro); it's parenting and society. Why is it that the media gets blamed for everything wrong with society!?

It didnt help their cause blaming wrestling for pushing society's ills, and then showing all the people they had interviewed saying that they saw it as just a bit of fun and entertainment. If youre claiming it is wrecking society and youve just shown a bunch of people claim it has no real effect on their lives, doesnt your research seem redundant?

Her only title defence .
