Anyone remember exactly when Flair actually hit a move off the top rope for the first time?
I remember it being awesome, just don't remember which match.

Whenever someone throws someone off the ropes to set up a backdrop That's one of the great things about jobber matches. Guys used to hit that move all the time against jobbers, which made it seem like a move that could be hit in a big match, even if it never was

Sticking your head out of the ring while Alex Riley is outside.
Attempting to run the ropes when your opponent is Ted DiBiase, Jr.
Randy Orton. Announce Table. That is all.

Sheamus' Razor's Edge has basically become this; I don't think he's successfully hit it in a televised match all year.

In Undertakers early years (from 1991 to ca. 1996) he always missed wwith elbow drops.

Whenever Hacksaw Jim Duggan said "I got him baby, I got him" to no one in particular, his next offensive move always failed.

It took Santino months to finally hit The Cobra. I thought it would be a running joke that he had this deadly finisher that nobody would ever see.

Ziggler's running splash into the corner. I can't remember the last time he actually hit that on someone. He probably has done it once though.

Approaching someone like Steve Austin with your hands up like you're about to deliver an axe handle smash. This always results in you getting kicked in the gut and stunnered.

Pre comeback HBK when he would do that wind-up/stomping prior to the Super Kick, he would hit it. After his comeback he would never hit it if he started to do the wind up.

Ziggler's sleeper is now in resthold territory, can't remember him winning with it or the commentators putting it over in some time.

Edge's spear was like that half the time. Anytime they showed him in the corner with the crazy eyes, chances are the other guy would move out of the way.

I'm currently watching the Clash of the Champions DVD set, and I just saw Flair hit a single axe handle blow to Brian Pillman in their match at CotC XXIII.

Kidman is the king of this in a bizarro kind of way, because he would wrestle people that would attempt a powerbomb for no reason other than to let Kidman faceplant them, even if they'd never done a powerbomb in any match, ever.

Lot of Taker's build-up seems to be impervious to a counter i.e. the apron-legdrop, snake-eyes/boot combo.
On another note, why was Old School still called Old School even when 'Taker returned to his Old School character?
