And the live crowd will positively, absolutely go mild! No one outside of the most hardcore of the hardcores knows who Sid is at this point, outside of maybe a few people who know him as the "sick ankle break" guy. He was dumb enough to leave the WWE before the Attitude Era got into full swing, and then dumb enough to JOIN WCW at their lowest trough. His mainstream appeal is as close to zero as you can get without ACTUALLY hitting zero. Sid seemed to be part of each promotion during thier dark days.

Come to that, wasn't he in ECW during THEIR pre-death days, as well, if only for a couple shows?

If Sid showed up at a WWE show these days the silence would be deafening. That's an indictment as to how shitty the crowds are these days, not a knock on Sid. When I was a kid, I loved wrestling and wanted to know EVERYTHING about it, and went out of my way to learn about all the legends -- despite them not being relevant to my time. I was just that interested. Fast forward 25 years, and now people have unbelievable instant access to information I'd have killed for at 10 -- and they don't use it or care. What a sad state of affairs.

I saw a kid on youtube refer to Mick Foley as "that fat guy who use to commentate on smackdown."Personally , I think kids today are smarter in general in most things but when it comes to wrestling... No. There has been a steep drop off since about two thousand four.

Im with you on that, when I was a kid I would goto the video store with my dad and Id pick out a bunch of old WWF tapes to watch on the VCR(some kids dont even kno what that is nowadays, smh) Fast forward 25 years, and now people have unbelievable instant access to information I'd have killed for at 10 -- and they don't use it or care. However, with the show taking place in St. Louis, he'd probably get a decent pop with how hot St. Louis crowds have been recently. For live shows anyway.

YES!
EVERY YEAR, SINCE 2005, I HAVE SPOTTED A SID RETURNS THREAD ONCE PER YEAR.
I am the official watcher of these rumours. I wish I had screencapped every one to show you guys. The first few were on accident but once I noticed the pattern it became a yearly event for me. I think June is the average month it appears, last year it was super early.
...I need help.

I LOL'd and the kid was like "you know who Paul Bearer is?". We talked wrestling the rest of the hour. One of the kids was talking about the Undertaker being in the Ministry, another was mentioning how Carlito beat Cena for the US title in his debut and asking "Do you remember that Snitsky guy". SWEAR. TO. GOD. Again, these kids are currently like 11 or 12. And I'd go insane for a Sid return.

It will be a debuting Jay Lethal impersonating Sid Vicious. I'd honestly rather that than the real Sid Vicious.

What a sad state of affairs. I'm sure their are kids who are hardcores and use the net to find out everything. In fact their was probably more kids who were casuals during the attitude era. Hell their was many many casuals in the attitude era. I have friends who grew up during the attitude era and are still casual fans if they over at my place and most of them don't know anyone from the 80's minus Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man, etc. I didn't give a shit on who the f*** the old wrestlers were during that time period. I cared about Austin, Rock, DDP, Sting, Kane, Shamrock, etc. Just like how kids these days only care about Cena, Orton, Punk, Sheamus, Kofi, etc. Plus when the kids pop, it's a loud shrieking voice that often doesn't get picked up by TV Camera's since it doesn't have the deep bass as the older male pop aka the roar. Also I'm sure a lot of kids are self conscious in losing their shit in front of their parents/parent friend supervising the kids/or their friends unless if it's Cena/Orton/Punk.

Sid becomes Daniel Bryan's bodyguard for a few months, only for him to turn face and powerbomb Bryan after the latter tries to get him to go vegetarian.

Since I'll be there, I'll bring a Sid Vicious sign just in case. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

I want Sid to powerbomb someone then as they hit the mat they fly up like in WWE All Stars and people keep hitting him to keep him in the air. This could work for Kofi

If he does return, he should just be randomly in the background of backstage segments the whole show.
