And the live crowd will positively, absolutely go mild! No one outside of the most hardcore of the hardcores knows who Sid is at this point, outside of maybe a few people who know him as the "sick ankle break" guy. He was dumb enough to leave the WWE before the Attitude Era got into full swing, and then dumb enough to JOIN WCW at their lowest trough. His mainstream appeal is as close to zero as you can get without ACTUALLY hitting zero. BUZZKILLSID is the MASTER AND RULER OF THE WORLD if those peons don't know SID, he'll FORCE THEM THEM LEARN

Honestly, seeing the lights go off in that arena, the Psycho strings blaring out of the PA system and the word SID beaming across that giant titan tron as SID slowly makes his way down to ringside asking the peons in attendance "WHO'S THE MAN?" and fist bumping people WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT, chokeslamming anyone who refuses, climbing over that top rope and telling Michael Cole to SHUT before powerboming him, and then the entire WWE locker room, winning all available titles and then punchign a hole through to the earths core and taking his rightful place as MASTER AND RULER OF THE UNIVERSE as the show goes off air would be about the minimum I would accept as a suitable comeback for him.

Also, that in-ring pyro that spells out his name.

If Sid showed up at a WWE show these days the silence would be deafening. That's an indictment as to how s***ty the crowds are these days, not a knock on Sid. When I was a kid, I loved wrestling and wanted to know EVERYTHING about it, and went out of my way to learn about all the legends -- despite them not being relevant to my time. I was just that interested. Fast forward 25 years, and now people have unbelievable instant access to information I'd have killed for at 10 -- and they don't use it or care. What a sad state of affairs. Yeah, those damn fans!

And most of the young fans know what WWE shows, they're not going to spend hours on Youtube watching old stuff.

Assuming the same level of hardcore interest from someone else in the same thing YOU have a hardcore interest in is the height of snobbery.

Just for old times sake I want a match that is for all intents and purposes a jobber match to be going on(think Kidd/Mahal) and Sid walks in for no reason and powerbombs them into oblivion. So many memories.
