"Pan" is what happens when you try to make a Peter Pan movie without Rufio. It's like trying to make a Superman movie without Chloe Sullivan. Who would want to see something like that?

You know, between Bridge Of Spies and Crimson Peak, I didn't think Goosebumps had a prayer at being number one.
I'm glad it did so well, I'm just shocked by it.

Crimson Peak looks interesting but if it wasn't for Spielbergs name marketed all over Bridge of Spies to create interest, the trailers marketed as a generic boring biopic film with a vague plot. Goosebumps is an actual franchise and well 90's nostalgia with good reviews for good buzz so I would of been more shocked if it wasn't number one.

Yeah, I was thinking Goosebumps would be a lock for number one, family friendly spooky movie in Halloween season (see Hotel Transylvania 2).

Who asked for a Pan movie in 2015? I had no interest because I'm waiting for them to adapt Peter and the Starcatchers.

Plus Jack Black is a pretty bankable actor especially in more family friendly films. Like I'm honestly shocked the box office gross wasn't higher

The Martian is still strong, and despite lower rankings Bridge of Spies and Crimson Peak probably did good business for what their makers expected. Weekend numbers weren't ridiculous huge, but for this time of the year I don't think they were that bad. I wonder if Goosebumps would've done stronger if it was release this weekend (vs last week, or even this week....I could see a Halloweenie movie not coming out the actual weekend of Halloween)
