That said, I predict that Peanuts probably takes the weekend due to the family crowd. Won't be a blowout though. This is extremely unlikely.

I'm pulling for Peanuts because I find the Daniel Craig Bond movies a overly pretentious joyless bore. Also I grew up and loved the peanut comics and films. Batista better steal the show and have a fair bit of screen time and just like that, you're back to being my favorite poster

I think Specture will come out ahead of its expenses by a wide margin, but that could just be the big James Bond mark in me.

The only emotion you get in a Daniel Craig bond film is bunch of constipated scowls with the master of scowls of Judi Dench which is the most joyless smug and pretentious facial expression you can make. Good grief I win again

In fact I complimented her that she is the master of scowls. She made a career out of scowling. Like she's probably a better scowled than Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford who are master scowlers themselves

Wow, a Peanuts movie with a $50mil+ opening forecast. Ain't that somethin'. (I don't even mind if Spectre does better - just seeing that kind of open is probable is worth it.)

The Intern is one of those movies where I have no idea who's going to see it, but it's really successful.

The Intern is one of those movies where I have no idea who's going to see it, but it's really successful. Looks to be aimed at an older audience. I know a few weeks ago my aunt said she wanted to see it. It reminds me of The Hundred-Foot Journey from last year. It doesn't look like a bad movie, but nothing I'd see in the theater. But the movie knows who it's catering to, and ends up turning a profit.

Steve Jobs was pulled out of 2072 theatres this past weekend. I guess that one is officially a dud. (And it only just this weekend surpassed the Ashton Kutcher Jobs movie's domestic box office take - $16.1mil.)

Doesn't matter if the movie is a colossal flop; the studio made it to win a bunch of awards. And, to be honest, Peanuts did alright, and I don't expect the other animated movie to come out this month (Regular Show: The Movie) to open with that much. I don't think it's that well-known, and I also believe people who haven't heard of the series or follow it regularly are gonna care for Rigby's behavior in the movie.
