There are some old interviews on youtube from after the first couple seasons with the cast and creator of the show. If you're interested in that sorta thing, you should seek them out. I remember watching them after I completed the series and one of the things they talked about was killing Jesse (imagine I said that with a lot of emphasis, like Walt) off at the beginning of the series, but they loved Aaron Paul's performance so much, they decided to keep him around. There's also a story about Bryan Cranston uses this information to mess with Aaron Paul.
Also, I always found it hilarious that the lawyer's name is Saul Goodman, especially considering his attitude. ("It's all good, man.")
If you want to look up those videos, search youtube for "breaking bad paley interview full."

Mike's back! I wonder what he's going to do. I assume work with Walt and Jesse.

AMC played some episodes last night. It really made me want to start watching the whole thing over. The new seasons starts July 15, correct?

After seeing the pics from ep 1 I can't wait for July 15th.
I heard AMC was going to be showing Breaking Bad from the beginning and going through all four seasons leading up to the Season 5 premier. Setting DVR now.

I haven't read any posts - I might download season 1 - what's the general plot about? A high school chemistry teacher is diagnosed with incurable lung cancer, so he teams up with a former student of his to start cooking and selling crystal meth to leave enough money for his family. Which includes a pregnant wife and a 15 year old son with cerebral palsy. It might start a bit slow, and it may look like hal from malcolm in the middle trying to sell meth, but it gets so intense as it goes on. Everyone on the show is a great actor, the best, i think, is aaron paul

Is it July 15th yet?
And what a week that's going to be, Breaking Bad on Sunday and TDKR on Friday.

I haven't read any posts - I might download season 1 - what's the general plot about? Brilliant chemist that is extremely overqualified for his position as a high school chemistry teacher is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. His DEA brother in law takes him on a ride along, and he discovers how much money can be made selling meth, so he finds one of his former students, who is a dealer, and they start making meth so that he has something to leave his family when he dies. As he's doing this, he begins spiraling deeper and deeper into the world of meth trafficking, all the while finding new ways to rationalize what he's doing, and losing sight of his original ideal. It's a fantastic story of a good guy going bad.

Second season is when the series gets really intense and enters a league of its own. Pretty much, everything after Walt shaves his head becomes instant gold

The second episode has the tub scene, and Walt shaves his head in the first season, too. I mean, I can see how some might find the first few episodes slower, but I was hooked right away.

The first season wasn't as slow as parts of the 3rd season or the beginning of the 4th season. It was also one of the best pilots I've ever seen from a show and one of the best 1st seasons ever. Like the 2nd episode basically pulled no punches and was like if you find this shit disgusting, depressing, or disturbing, GTFO now we warned you.

I can only see someone thinking the first season is slow once you have watched the entirety of the show thus far but even that's debatable IMO. First time viewing is really god damn compelling, it just snowballs from there as seasons go on but it's still endlessly rewatchable.
