Still being run by idiots. Have fun trying to trade Tebow after spending months making it clear you absolutely dont want him Interesting things are being said... twitter.com/#!/ESPNLKCornetta/status/181118665289240577 Not surprised. Said from the start with McDaniels back in NE they were the dark horse for Tebow. If he was still in STL, it would have been them.

Dont get the Cassel hate. He's done fine in KC, just suffered an injury No hate, but he's not a great QB. So the fact that they molded him and got to 11-5 (if I remember right) under him is amazing - and only goes to show that the Patriots FO knows their s***. Which is why, and again, I'm dead serious in saying this, I won't be stunned if someone signs current Patriots backup Brian Hoyer and parts ways with their second-round pick to do so. If Alex Smith signs with the Dolphins, I would not be shocked in the slightest to see the 49ers deal a second-rounder to New England in exchange for Hoyer. I really think he's going to be a very capable NFL starter.

Well......Tebowmania was fun while it lasted. Now it is on to Manningmania.....for what....two-three years? Then we'll be back right where we were heading into this offseason, asking ourselves, "Who the f*** is our quarterback?!"

Bah, being a Chief's fan, I was hoping he'd end up somewhere else. I'd far more scared of Manning than I am of Tebow, whose offense was built pretty much to try to limit his opportunities of screwing up.
The AFC West is awful right now, if Manning is half as good as he was, the Broncos should be able to win the division as long as he's there.

Belichick and McDaniels made f***ing Matt Cassel look like Tom Brady, if they get Tebow the rest of the league better be on notice because that could be dangerous. But Cassel is a far better QB than Tebow. If the Pats sign Tebow, well, he'll probably be more visible as Taylor Swift's eye candy than on a football field. He's not a very good QB, but I think he's good enough to be a starter QB on a team like Jacksonville, where he already has a naturally installed fanbase due to his college years. They'd certainly have more use for him than Tom Brady's "We're winning by 30 points already. I'm going to take a nap" man. Unless the Pats convert him to a runningback while also being Brady's backup. They had a wide receiver playing defense last year, so I wouldn't be surprised. It would also make the Pats' running game that much more dangerous.

It's alright Koda, after Manning we'll go through 5-10 years of drafting QBs that turn out to be busts, and banking on other teams sloppy seconds. After that we'll find a halfway decent guy, and then trade him when the FO switches again, which it seems to do like clockwork. GET EXCITED!!!!

On the plus side, this whole situation means dirt cheap Tebow merchandise on the Broncos' official web-shop.

All I know is, some team (I'm thinking the Patriots, but the Lions or Eagles might be good dark horse picks) is going to get Tebow for nothing more than a sack of deflated footballs, and then trade him a year or two later for a first round pick, making the Broncos FO look even more foolish.

You know the lady on NFLN brought up a good point in that Hasselback, Locker and Tebow all deserve a lot of credit for how well they've handled being trashed by their owners/FO.

Part of me thinks that is somewhat the logic behind the Patriots interest in Tim Tebow. They know that Denver has no interest in keeping him, so they can acquire him for next to nothing, play him in the preseason, talk him up around the league as the heir apparent after Tom Brady's time has come and gone, and then flip him to someone like Jacksonville or Miami for greater value than they acquired him.

Then why not just skip the middle man and get him directly if I were Jacksonville or Miami?

^ that's what I was thinking too, but I never underestimate a smart team's ability to take advantage of a stupid one.

I'll be very surprised if Tebow is ever considered trade-worthy for a first round pick.

They may not be my favorite team, but there's a reason that good teams are consistently good, regardless of personnel on the field / court / whatever. It starts upstairs.

Yahoo's Jason Cole and ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss are both reporting that the Patriots have signed former Redskins wide receiver Donte Stallworth to a one-year deal.
It's nice to have another target for Tom Brady, but that's more than enough. Now's the time to start salvaging the defense.
EDIT - The Patriots have also landed another not-defensive-player by signing former Seahawks offensive lineman and relatively significant NFL Draft bust Robert Gallery.
