That was one hell of a sacrifice. Regardless of how many Title wins and title shots, he essentially took himself out of one, and a PPV match presumably, just so his buddy could get a shot at a secondary title. Or more specifically a shot at a shot at the title.
Based Cena. Sacrificing himself for the internet. First Punk, now Ryder.

Is this going to open up something else for Cena, given last week's promo and etc?

It's not like he won't get another title shot.

It's not like he won't get another title shot. Kayfabe wise, who knows? Its still a PPV main event payday he took off the table. You think Hogan or Austin or Taker or HHH's characters would have done that?

He may not be a dick, but he sure is a dope. Him giving up a title shot he won fair and square does more to diminish the value of a championship than a lot of the other complaints I've seen (hot-shotting, the champ losing a match, etc)

My guess is Ryder doesn't win the match and Cena gets a little mad.

I'd like to salute Cena, but again, I've got to wonder if this isn't leading to something bigger, given the nature of last week's Piper segment and the whole "are the boos getting to Cena?" thing. Is this another cog on the wheel?

This is seriously the most John Cena has EVER put anybody over. BBFs: Best Broskis Forever!
Over-analyzer Mode ACTIVATE: Cena is a phony. He did this because he knew fans were really behind Zack Ryder. Why bother? Because he's rapidly losing fan support. Doing something so awesome for a hot fan favorite will make him look better in the eyes of some of his detractors. He helped himself by helping Zack Ryder. Cena knows Ryder is taking off and he's latching onto his coattails. Woo Woo Woo! You know it

Him giving up a title shot he won fair and square does more to diminish the value of a championship than a lot of the other complaints I've seen (hot-shotting, the champ losing a match, etc) Him giving up a shot he'll likely get again in the future so a young guy can stop being screwed over by management. He said it himself, he's a 10 time World Champion, but didn't get those until someone gave him a fair shake, something Ryder hasn't got until he started promoting himself online.

Didn't like it. Was silly to me. Love Cena & Ryder but this came off cheap. Guess it was ok to see Ryder get his shot and Cena give up his but still.

But he did get a fair shake. He was on the shows and lost all of his matches. He got a WWE title shot and lost in 5 seconds. He got the chances and blew them. Oh wait, that was kayfabe. This is "real".

clearly when a wrestler goes from losing in five seconds to winning most of his matches he is kayfabe dramatically improved. Comparing the guy who lost to Sheamus to the guy now is like comparing Atlanta Falcons backup Brett Favre to Brett Favre in his first year as the Packers starter(not going to say now) Different animals
