Not only does he constantly try to embarrass Cena but after winning the tag match, a humiliated Cena showed respect by clapping and trying to leave. But Rock invites him in the ring only to further humiliate him by showing that he has a much bigger fanbase then Rock Bottoming him for no reason. I've never been a Cena fan but he's been so sympathetic in this storyline compared to Rock who's an arsehole. Can't believe I'm choosing Cena over Rock but I'm hoping Cena wins at Wrestlemania. Cenation FTW!

Maybe the story they're going for is Rock trying to get under Cena's skin and knock him out of his self-assured, smug persona. If thats what they're going for, its working.

Do you REMEMBER his promo exchange with Eddie Guerrero, just to provide ONE example? The Rock's whole CHARACTER was that's he's a douche. And the people love him for it because he makes no bones about it.

Cena deserves this anyway, he's the one who went public about wanting him back in WWE. Cena's getting exactly what he asked for.

*Cena answers his cell phone*
The Rock: "Hello Jawwwwwn. I THINK YOU'RE A STUPID HEAD!
*Cena looks at the window seeing The Rock hiding in the bushes with a cell phone*
Cena: "Dwayne is that you?
The Rock: "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWGH!"
*The Rock runs away while dropping his cell phone.*

The Rock character has always been a douche, he's just so entertaining that most don't realize it.

The Rock just comes off really insecure to me.
A guy who constantly needs to remind everyone how great he is by telling us "Hey I'm great." while simultaneously crapping on everyone else just comes off as very very insecure.
I remember him trying to call out the Miz by claiming that "Anyone who runs around saying they're awesome all the time probably isn't" without a hint of irony considering he's the WWE's biggest self-aggrandizer.

I guess I just feel a bit sorry for Cena. He's getting booed by everyone every week just for being a good guy then he gets needlessly attacked by his partner. Poor guy.

Rock's always been a prick, it's his thing. Does no one remember the rude, unnecessary shots he used to take at Stephanie (especially considering the outrage Lawler tends to get around here when he mocks Vickie)? Does no one remember how he used to treat Mick Foley? He's rude and he's mean, and it's why people love him.

And the people love him for it because he makes no bones about it. The people love him because, for whatever reason, they love bad people. Think about it: after Rock and Cena, the top babyfaces in the company are Randy Orton, CM Punk, Zack Ryder, and Triple H. Cena and Ryder are the only two people I listed that come off as remotely good people, kayfabe-wise. One's an insecure, Machiavellian, wannabe-Alpha, one's a self-important rebel without a clue, one's mentally unbalanced, and then we have The Rock. And, unlike Cena, all of the people I just mentioned are completely over. Hell, after Rock, Ryder, Orton, and Punk, the two biggest pops I remember went to Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes, and they're heels. To quote Mr. Anderson, people just like assholes.

To be fair, part of the outrage Lawler gets is because he takes cracks at Vickie's weight, yet he himself is quite the ovoid man.

Not my own opinion, but most people would say "It's OK that Rock's a douche, because Cena sucks for some reason."

One of my favorite parts about Rock's character was the shots he used to take at Kevin Kelly - calling him an "ugly hermaphrodite", alongside other insults. Not to mention Coach, too. Some of the funniest backstage interviews I've ever seen came from their routines. That could never have happened if his character wasn't such a douche.

I remember this infamous quote from Cena. "I just wish he would come back, raise a peoples eyebrow once and get out of town" "Im sad that he left" Cena wanted this more than anything.

Eh, Rock's a dick...Cena's a dick...you can say Cena's had it coming for his epic dickbaggery over the past two years and Rock's karma will probably catch back up with him at Mania.

What the hell do we want him to be then? Gone? Dont know this "we" you speak of. I like Cena as is for the most part. And in that I dont see him as a dick. Like The Rock who clearly has been since 1997. I mean he refers to himself in 3rd person. Thats all the facts you need lol. As for Cena I feel he Just needs some tune up to his character. If he officially becomes a dick bag, then it would be great too.
