so you don't like characters who are basically nice guys with tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BerserkButtonYou don't want to have to tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BewareTheNiceOnesCena does that kind of stuff in his matches. And even post matches. And he always gets called out on it. People like JBL and Batista give him s*** ands then they quit on him before he can really lay them. THey run and hide behind stipulations to avoid having to endure the same things tey do to him. So he says screw it, risks whatever might happen for breaking the rules and does it anyway. And people get on him for that. I feel like people here have a very limited definition of having balls All I'm saying is that its time for Cena to flip out. He has every justification in the World to do so. He can't win this by doing the nice guy with a berserk button act, he's up against greatness, he needs to stop holding back. he'll do that in his match. I mean the men have been in the ring together five times in the last nine months. Once Rock got AA(and I think the fans complained) twice Cena got Rock Bottomed(Mania and SS) twice no physical altercation(night after Mania and This is Cena's life where Foley ate the Rock Bottom) He'll stop holding back when it's on the line. Frankly I can see him worried Rock would run away if Cena got serious before Mania The Rock just comes off really insecure to me. A guy who constantly needs to remind everyone how great he is by telling us "Hey I'm great." while simultaneously crapping on everyone else just comes off as very very insecure. I remember him trying to call out the Miz by claiming that "Anyone who runs around saying they're awesome all the time probably isn't" without a hint of irony considering he's the WWE's biggest self-aggrandizer. DING DING DING we have a winner! of course the Lil Jimmies aren't smart enough to realize this I also agree with this

Kayfabe wise Rock is exactly right. Sure, he makes sure everybody knows he's the great one, but he backs it up. He doesn't say anything about himself that isn't true. Unless you take being "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment" to be literal... Miz tells everybody he's awesome, but he's not...that's his gimmick...that's why he's a heel. It's pretty damn simple. I'm not singling you out, but a lot of people are letting The Rock work the shit out of them. They're taking everything he says in his promos to heart. Like he really means it. People think he really hates John Cena, or that he really thinks Miz and Truth are shitty wrestlers or whatever.

Not only does he constantly try to embarrass Cena but after winning the tag match, a humiliated Cena showed respect by clapping and trying to leave. But Rock invites him in the ring only to further humiliate him by showing that he has a much bigger fanbase then Rock Bottoming him for no reason. I've never been a Cena fan but he's been so sympathetic in this storyline compared to Rock who's an arsehole. Can't believe I'm choosing Cena over Rock but I'm hoping Cena wins at Wrestlemania. Cenation FTW! You're taking the incident in isolation. Rock doesn't like Cena. Of course he's going to try and embarrass him. It's not like he invited a random old lady into the ring and beat her up.

Well Cena does have Lady parts so he kind of did.

I was speaking in terms of him 'in character' - I thought that's what we were discussing here. The Rock talked a big game about himself when he was just a IC Champ hopeful playing second fiddle to Farook in the N.O.D. The Miz and the Rock's characters aren't that far a part to be honest.

He always has been. That's been the Rock's character, face or heel since he adopted the Rock persona.
And it's awesome.
