I can live with the Coach in the Rumble. I can't live with THIS:
Lawler: "When I was a kid, I once saw a guy get shot out of a cannon." Coach: "C'mon, King. They didn't have cannons in the 30's"
Cannons. In the 30's. The dumbest line ever uttered on commentary. Ever. I felt the need to vent.

How did he exactly get his job? I mean first, they did friggin have cannons in the thirties, second, what the hell is Coach refering King to, of him being old? Because he doesnt look THAT old to me. So im thinking about referring to him as his name as "the King"
THEY DIDNT HAVE KINGS 70 YEARS AGO DUMBASS

It was a botched age joke.

Yeah, they have had cannons around since the medieval days. Coach is an idiot.
And did we really need to see Coach vs King's huge Rumble qualifying match, when both men have precisely 0% of winning the Rumble?

Cannons first showed up in China in 1128 and then were first used in Europe in 1324 and 1327.
So yeah, they've been around 877 years.

As soon as the spirit squad showed up, I turned off RAW. There was nothing redeeming to happen.

I can't believe people are agonizing over a stupid joke. Have you all never made fun of someone's age with a stupid joke like that? Sheesh.

I can't believe people are agonizing over a stupid joke. Have you all never made fun of someone's age with a stupid joke like that? Sheesh. The problem is Coach's joke didn't make sense. It would have been a simple stupid age joke had he gotten it right (Such as by saying "when you were young" or something like that). He was incredibly off in his joke, it would be like saying "tv? they didn't have that in the 90s!" though even that is less wrong...

Coach is an idiot anyway so it doesnt suprise me, he never talks about wrestling. All he says is "yeah, me and the Heart Throbs are buddy's" or "yeah, me and the Con Man are buddy's"
He is a fool
[edit]
That isn't as annoying as Styles, every single week
"wooooow, you have to actually be here in the building to witness the Big Show's size, wooooow he's huge, wooooow look at them big hands"
For christ sakes we know, he've been watching him for years. And new watchers can tell by his name he is big.

WWE lead announcer syndrome. Michael Cole has it, Jim Ross had it, and now Joey has it.
