AvX: Consequences was about as one sides as could be today. I was on the Avengers side for the most part, but even I was annoyed by the whitewash presented Mind giving em the cliffnotes?

Bleh. I abandoned ship after One More Day ( though I did stop in for Amazing #600 and a few issues after that featuring MJ and Black Cat before bailing when they did), and may pick up #700 on principle, but I haven't looked back really.
Even with Slott who I know is good, the art to me has been so spotty to terrible when I've flipped through an issue I just don't care.
Pretty much for me it means Marvel NOW won't be gettin' any more of my $ for the foreseeable future.

Or Hickman's absolute epic Avengers? Marvel have some crap going on, but they also have some writers who are just amazing

AvX: Consequences was about as one sides as could be today. I was on the Avengers side for the most part, but even I was annoyed by the whitewash presented Mind giving em the cliffnotes? It's all Scott's fault, EVERYTHING is his fault. Wolverine is ragging on him for being a killer despite his own past and poor old Magneto, who hasnt done a thing to anyone in the event beyond actually getting the X-Men to switch sides is being hunted by Tony Stark in a plastic Iron Man uniform. The government is also evil and worried about more mutants popping up, because they are now, and Cyclops has been sent to a special privet jail where the warden is a pragmatic racist. It was well written in that what was written fit together, but it was clear that the book, so far, is mainly about hammering home that Cyke is a dick (granted he is, but still). Remender did a better job of saying why in Uncanny Avengers #1 than Gillen did here, as Gillen is clearly writing assuming the readers are Avengers fans who already blame Cyclops for everything

I admit I've always thought Cyke needed to be knocked down a peg or five but this stuff is just dogpiling on ol' Slim

"It's all Cyclops's fault and Captain America is always right." (And I say this as a fan of Cap, even.)

My comic buying in the last few years was way, way down anyway. Just about all I get now is each new volume of Fables, and maybe some Goon.

I've realised I have been buying more trades than monthlies since about April

Fables I mighta bought monthly had I not gotten into the series one trade in and just started collecting it that way. Now I've just conditioned myself to wait the four or five months till a new trade of that comes out.
I do need to finish my Sandman collection as well; and with Gaiman writing some new material there soon, that I will pick up.

I did the same thing with New 52 really; I know there's some good stuff there as well from what I hear, I just don't really care about any of it.

I went to see it yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Its not as good as the first 2 but still alot better than the majority of films. Id highly recommend it.

Can anyone reccomend some Image comics plz The Walking Dead. Get it. Read it. Love it. Just be warned, it will more than likely ruin most other forms of zombie media, because none of them, save for Telltale's The Walking Dead video game, are anyone near as good at telling a story as TWD.

"It's all Cyclops's fault and Captain America is always right." (And I say this as a fan of Cap, even.) Not really, Cap is taking his share of the blame, it's more 'it's all Cyclops fault and Wolverine is always right.'
