The Butterfly Effect was a failed attempt at tying to pass Ashton Kutcher off as a serous actor.

Joe Piscopo Madonna I believe Michael Cera and Jonah Hill are destined for this same fate. Jonah was nominated for an Oscar and is about to work with Martin Scorsese, he's doing fine Yeah, if anything, this past year or so has shown that Jonah Hill has some staying power.

James Cameron seemed hellbent on making Sam Worthington a household name. ditto for Steven Spielberg and Shia Laboeuf (who I don't think is a bad actor, he just gets put in the wrong kind of movies).

Denise Richards and Casper van Dien in Starship Troopers, and from there, Richards in Wild Things and as a Bond girl, and van Dien in that crappy Tarzan movie.

Ryan Reynolds...just...Ryan Reynolds. I highly recommend you give "Buried" a shot. From the outlook, it seems like a ridiculous premise, as it is 90 minutes of nothing but a man buried alive, trying to figure out a way to escape. And what I'm about to say might be so outrageous that it will get me banned from these forums, but I'll say it: in my opinion, "Buried" was the best movie of 2010 and is in the running for the best movie of the past five years. Ryan Reynolds was positively f***ing phenomenal in it. It was one of the most captivating, gripping and enthralling movies I can recall watching. I literally was on the edge of my seat in the final 20 minutes. No joke. I was physically leaning off of my couch practically crouching in the air. As for my opinion on actors whose so-called "pushes" have flamed out, I wholeheartedly agree with anyone who said Katherine Heigl. I've never seen an actress who stars exclusively in chick-flicks that was so adamantly detested by females in the general public. Since 2008, I've never met a woman who rooted for a Katherine Heigl character or openly admitted to seeing a movie in which she was the main character, aside from "Knocked Up".

I agree with the assessment that Katherine Heigl is rather unlikable. People apparently liked her character on Grey's Anatomy (which was my least favorite character). She plays the same high powered, uptight bitch in everything I've ever seen her in. She is the new Jennifer Aniston without any of the sympathy.

You know I don't think any actress outside of Lindsay Lohan has done more to hurt her own career than Katherine Heigl. She has this amazing habit of trashing the people who helped her become famous.

Taylor Lautner? He got good cuts. (Actually, I found Abducted moderately tolerable. I was able to finish it, which is more than I can say about a lot of the films my wife chooses to watch.) Lautner is like Jeff Hardy. His physical charisma is off the charts (in terms of mannerisms, not looks), but his line delivery makes him hard to take seriously. Give him an art house role as a mute hitman and he'd be fantastic. Best idea ive heard all day.

Just thought of one! Olivia Munn. We're told she's funny, yet... Yet, she's the best thing about the Newsroom other than Jeff Daniels and Drunk Sam Waterston. Hell, she's the only woman on the show period that I don't wanna choke, with the exception of Jane Fonda, who's a recurring character.

How did I forget about Sam Worthington? Why Hollywood feels the need to shove him into all those blockbusters in baffling.

Hayden Christensen. All the charisma of a wooden plank. He may always only have his role as Anakin Skywalker. I wasn't too crazy about Jumper (I really wish I didn't pay to see it back in 2008, but rather have seen The Bank Job, which played at the same theater at the time). He did a good job in Shattered Glass, but that was pretty much it.

Yeah, think that plank of wood GF of his f***ing that director behind his back is the best thing to happen to Pattinson's career.
He's got a hell of a face run coming up.

The Butterfly Effect was a failed attempt at tying to pass Ashton Kutcher off as a serous actor. So was "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner, which didn't do that well for Kutcher either. His upcoming Steve Jobs movie does have some promise, though I'm not really holding my breath.

There are quite a few actors in Hollywood that just seem the same way, like Megan Fox.
