Sam Worthington had the push of a lifetime with Avatar, Terminator, and Clash of the Titans... and yet. He will still have a couple more Avatar films coming up, won't he? Also, I thought he was decent in Terminator.

I am not surprised to see some peoples opinions of Sam Worthington, but I am a big fan of his. I like him a lot. His work outside of avatar, Titans, and Terminator is all good an, even then the aforementioned films I really enjoyed.
And totally disagree with Ben Affleck. He is one of the most sought after people in the business, and the Town was robbed, snubbed and really disrespected for only having one nomination during its oscar year.
None of the Broken Lizard guys are that popular anymore which is a shame.

Remember Dan Fogler a few years back when he was pushed as the next Jack Black?
Yeah, and we hated him for that. We've seen and heard enough from the A-list Jack Black.

I wouldn't call that a demotion though his directorial is acclaimed Won't argue with his directing work (I'm hoping the rumours of him directing the adaptation of The Stand pan out) but his days as a big-time Hollywood leading man look to be over. Nah, Affleck has turned down a lot of roles the last few years. I mentioned in another thread, but I vaguely remember him saying that he was done doing action movies because they are boring to film or something like that.

I'm not sure "Employee of the Month" was released to capitalize on his popularity at the time. He was everywhere back in 2006, especially with him doing his standup concert at the time "Vicious Circle" and he had his reality/documentary show on MTV. Of course, what has he done lately? He has a new sitcom coming out this fall. I doubt it will make it, but who knows.

As for my opinion on actors whose so-called "pushes" have flamed out, I wholeheartedly agree with anyone who said Katherine Heigl. I've never seen an actress who stars exclusively in chick-flicks that was so adamantly detested by females in the general public. Since 2008, I've never met a woman who rooted for a Katherine Heigl character or openly admitted to seeing a movie in which she was the main character, aside from "Knocked Up". Ill never understand her thinking when she tore "Knocked up" to shreds as being a sexist movie. Yeah, it's a great idea to trash the movie that helped elevate you beyond "Grey's". Not to mention that it could be argued that all of her paint by numbers chick flicks are just as detrimental to females

Im going back a few years but "Showgirls" was supposed to make Elizabeth Berkley a star. It had a sizable budget, a big name director in Paul Verhoeven and a screenplay by another big name, Joe Esterhaus. It was also the first NC-17 movie to be given wide distribution in mainstream movie houses.

Another one is the chick who played Kim Bauer on '24'. She was the worst character on that show, why the hell would you put her in movies?
'Captivity' might have been one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I am pretty sure she is still acting, but hasn't done a lot of things since 24 and The Girl Next Door.

She's on the ABC series Happy Endings. It's actually been on some review sites Top 10 shows for the last TV season.
