So I was going to get this on Sunday so I could play uninterupted but I think I'll have to get it on Saturday and play it all day until I have to go to work. (And then all night, of course.) It's driving me crazy! And I know that as soon as it comes out I'll have to avoid gaming websites like the plague. A buddy of mine was saying to me that apparently the devs have recommended that you should make an effort to do the co-op missions prior to beating the game because -- and it's not that big of a deal really but spoiler'd just in case -- {Spoiler}the co-op characters will fight alongside you in the final battle, so the higher level they are, the stronger and more useful they'll be. Whereas if you never touched co-op... well... Anyone got any idea if that's true or not? Additionally, will anyone be up for some co-op with me shortly after release? ;D Multiplayer is entirely optional. Even the achievements with multiplayer prereqs have ways of doing them in single player. Basically, if you don't do multiplayer, you can accomplish the same things in singleplayer by just doing the side quests. This is true. Still, I'll be playing the multiplayer when I beat the single player, because the multiplayer portion of the ME3 demo, when I could find a full 4 player session, was addicting as all f***!

I had a lot of fun with the MP demo. Gonna have to pick up some Live Gold months to try it out in its entirety.

Welp, they killed off Emily Wong :/. I wanted to deck her three games in a row.
Edit: Never mind, I forgot she isn't the one I forsake my morals for ;D.

Ahhh, that's kind of a relief actually. I'd rather play SP before I delve into MP.

Just got back from GameStop with my copy of ME3(along with the special pre-order bonus steelbook for Assassin's Creed III).
GameStop made an incredibly smart business move, they were offering, in store, the From Ashes DLC, and as I said I was already going to buy it, I bought it along with my copy of the game.

Also the very first thing I did when I took the shrink wrap off the case was flip the box art around to put FemShep on the front. ;D

Will get my collector's edition tomorrow, gonna try to get as far in ME2 as possible before then. Although, since I have ME2 on Xbox and will be getting ME3 on PS3, it's not like it matters... but y'know, as much story as possible is always good.

Reviews are starting to pour in.
1UP: A IGN: 9.5/10 GameTrailers: 9.5/10 G4: 5/5 (I believe their first 5 since going to the "half-star" system of reviewing) Game Infomer: 10/10 GameSpot: 9/10

I played the demo a lot & ended up about 22nd in my country. A lot of my Gears friends also played it. Have to wait until Friday here to get it which sucks.

Why? Potential bias, because Jessica Chobot, who has strong connections to both places, plays a character in this game. Now that's not to say they DID have bias behind their reviews, but the potential is still there. "Hey, Jessica's in this game, let's make sure to review it favorably."

For the record, don't read the YouTube comments of anything related to Mass Effect 3 until you've beaten the game yourself.
I read the leaked story (it was posted on Kotaku and I figured it was a place holder until they found a better way to end the trilogy; and as much as BioWare claimed they changed it, they didn't change the ending at all), so I'm a little bummed about that.

I figured after the fact I may want to put the whole "spoiler" tag on that just in case anyone read it and remembered the ending.

I can't believe I have to wait till Friday. I'm going on a blackout from certain sites to avoid anymore information or potential spoilers, and I'm going to be very tentative when looking at this thread. I really should avoid, but dammit its hard!
