The retirement thing isn't surprising. Punk's talked retirement going back to last year. He had made his money and was set to walk away because he's destroyed his body and didn't feel he was getting the push that warranted him to keep doing it. He also said that the contract he signed last year would be his last as a full time wrestler as he didn't want to be a guy that was physically destroyed beyond the point of no hope and he already saw himself heading down that path.
I also don't see what was so bad about his comments about them taking Miz of the road to film Marine 3: Marine Harder. I guess you could say what sense does it make to put a guy no one cares about in a movie but I don't think Punk meant it as no one cares about Miz, just fans aren't buying a ticket to see him and him disappearing for a few months doesn't hurt as much as losing him which is true. Punk is WWE champ, the number 2 guy in the company and has been the anchor the Smackdown house shows since Orton went down, WWE cannot afford to have him off the road.

I would buy a ticket to see the Miz, but most likely, Miz's jobbing streak was done so no one would miss him.

As much as I hate Miz, its Punk being Punk. How is that a reasoning? You may as well say 'it's an asshole being an asshole.' That's exactly what he's saying. It's Punk being Punk. He's an asshole. He says asshole things. Is it really all that shocking? However, he wasn't really wrong about what he said either. Miz left, and surprisingly not a lot of people cared, or even noticed. Ouch.

Every time Punk opens his mouth, my dislike for him grows, it's an amazing thing really. What he said about The Miz is ridiculousness, if HHH would have said it this board would have blown up, but it's just "Punk being Punk". Ugh

When he says that it's just CM Punk saying it. If HHH says it, it's WWE saying it as a company. CM Punk is just kind of a jackass, even if I agree with him on Miz that's not really professional conduct and kind of paints him as a shitty co-worker.

The TNA mention seemed so unnecessary he could have just said "Well as far as 'other' places...Samoa Joe."
Of course no other wrestling company will ever get to the WWE's level nowadays so...yeah. "Not WWE? LOL must be an indy."

"Not WWE? LOL must be an indy." I think part of that is CM Punk being a little bitter about not being a part of the great wrestling product that TNA is turning into. It must suck carrying around John Cena's belt and working to put over AJ Lee while TNA continues to make strides toward presenting a new vision for tomorrow in which wrestling is allowed to be wrestling.

Can someone explain what is so wrong with what he said about Miz? He didn't bury him, say he sucked or anything like that, he said exactly what was reported when they took Orton out of them movie. He didn't say anything to make Miz look bad, just they took him off the house shows and TV to film the movie because he wouldn't be missed. Miz was doing nothing before that, no storylines, no titles, no feuds, nothing and was more expendable than the WWE Champ and number 2 overall babyface.

Completely agreed. I think it's hilarious that they call TNA "indy" when it's being a much better product than WWE has been at this point, despite obviously putting less money into their show. That's basically McDonalds attacking Fatburger because McDonalds is WAY more mainstream.

Yes, the man who has been WWE Champion for 9 months and is about to enter into a feud with The Rock is bitter about not being in TNA.
Yeah, TNA has been real good lately. But...seriously?

He has talked about this before on Lita's radio show so I am not surprised. He probably wants to get into other hobbies when he is healthy. He mentioned being interested in punk music professionally. Professional punk is an oxymoron, haha. I wonder what he would do? I've never heard he plays an instrument so I'd assume he'd sing (or scream), I just can't imagine what that would sound like.

We all know Punk can be an ass with how he says certain things, but think about it. How many people truly noted, with no knowledge that Miz was shooting Marine 3, that he was barely on TV when he was shooting? I'm sure fans would care more if Punk was off TV as opposed to Miz and judging by some of his reactions, the fans are somewhat happy to see Miz. It's a throwaway comment that ultimately means nothing unless you overreact.

TNA has been fantastic since I started watching it again two months ago, but unless you're an under used mid-carder in WWE (and even then it depends on how well compensated you are for some and how much you like being a part of that company) you aren't yearning for TNA. No main eventer in WWE is jealous of anything in TNA. Let's be real now. And on the HHH/Punk thing, I don't get where people are going there. Hunter buries people and people call him an asshole. Punk "buries" (apparently to some) Miz, and people say he's being an asshole. It just burns some people that Punk owns that he can be a dick and it takes the sting out of someone trying to insult you that way. That and he doesn't care.

The Role was offered to both CM Punk and Randy Orton, which means the above statement is false, since Punk was going to remain on TV, and this is a stab at The Miz.

Well from what I've read he didn't enjoy his time there and the direction they wanted his character to go in but to me that has nothing to do with how the company is currently. That was like...8 years ago.
