A few more albums that I have been listening to lately:
Radiation Sickness - Reflections of a Psychotic Past
This is a fun death metal and punk influenced grind band from Indianapolis. They actually originally formed in 1987 and split up in 1990 after releasing only a few EPs and demos. They reformed in 2010, and in June of this year released this...their first full length. Chaotic music, coupled with painfully haunted screaming vocals make this album a fun, albeit short, listen. The entire album is only about 37 minutes long.
Recommended if you like: Obituary, Rotten Sound, Brutal Truth, Wormrot
Sample Track- Tripping in the Seas of Madness:www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMdMgyY6RGQ
Vore - Gravehammer
Vore is a straight up death metal band from Arkansas. Largely overlooked, they have quietly done their own thing, scrapped away and self-released three full lengths over the course of almost 20 years. They have a pretty sweet style, with very noticeable Bolt Thrower influences in their riffing. Catchy, but not cheesy.
You'd like Vore if you like: Deicide, Bolt Thrower, Grave, Obituary

A Million Dead Birds Laughing - Xen
A Million Dead Birds Laughing, or AMDBL for short, is one of my favorite band names. This emerging band from Australia, have self released two albums, Xen being the most recent. Much like their name implies, they are weird. They have atmosphere, they have moments of doom, death, grind, and techie styles, and there are a wide range of vocals from harsh whispers to angry snarls.
You might like AMDBL if you like: Necrophagist, Napalm Death, Spawn of Possession, Cryptopsy
