Punk/Cena MITB. The match is good, but the atmosphere puts it over the top.
EDIT: It should be noted that I rarely go out of my way to watch non-mainstream wrestling.

Sided with Davey/Eddie for now, but the one match I'm interested in seeing is Steen/Generico from Steen Wolf. From what I'm hearing about it, that match is shooting right to the top.

Punk/Cena had amazing atmosphere and angle, but Steen/Tozawa vs Generico/Ricochet was batshit insane. The best final few minutes to a match that ive ever seen.

Punk/Cena MITB was better than Eddie/Davey for me although I enjoyed both matches. Haven't seen Steen vs. Generico yet from Steenwolf so that may be considered if it is as good as I'm led to believe. And a bit of a surprising one I think Angle/Jarrett from Lockdown is up there, match was f***ing awesome.

Punk/Cena.
Eddie/Davey was good, but it suffered from the same problem I have with a lot of "classic" ROH matches. That being that it was just a little TOO long. It gets to the point of "Yes, this is awesome, but can it please just be over now?" and as a result I don't often rewatch them. Heck, they might not even be as long as I think they are, but most ROH main events FEEL like they are an hour long.

I feel I am a better person for having watched The World Heavyweight Championship match with Randy Orton and Christian at Over The Limit.
For the women, I say Kelly Kelly Vs. Beth Phoenix at Night Of Champions.
Fantastic atmosphere, high stakes, and one of the best mainstream women's matches I can recall in quite some time, that actually went a good enough length that allowed Beth and Kelly to pull some good spots during the match, such as the superplex by Beth, and the rope walk into the 'rana by Kelly.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Hirooki Goto all the way for me.

I agree with the first one but the second one bored me to tears.

Probably Jun Akiyama beating Suwama to win the Triple Crown. Great match, even greater moment.

Punk/Cena MITB. And this is coming from a guy who has seen a TON of great wrestling elsewhere. If I had to go by the dreaded SNOWFLAKEZ~!, then my top 5 is NOTHING under ****3/4.
It's been a great year regardless.

Punk/Cena MITB. The fans that night were like nothing I've ever seen before.

One match that may be completely overlooked would be the Smackdown's Elimanation Chamber at this year's Elimination Chamber ppv.

One match that may be completely overlooked would be the Smackdown's Elimanation Chamber at this year's Elimination Chamber ppv. well that'd probably be because the Raw EC match was more entertaining, what with CM Punk getting stuck in the pod and all

Hard to pick, I'd take any Christian/Orton match this year, Edwards/Richards(and I'll say it now, Edwards/Richards II), El Generico vs. 123 Kid at King of Trios 2011, the four team elimination match at Best in the World, Punk/Cena at MITB, all depends on the mood I'm in.

Personally:
1. Undertaker vs. HHH, Wrestlemania 2. Eddie Edwards vs. Davey Richards, 3. CM Punk vs. John Cena, Money In The Bank 4. Christian vs. Randy Orton, Over The Limit 5. CM Punk vs. Randy Orton, Wrestlemania

Punk vs Cena had literally EVERYTHING. Drama, storytelling, athleticisim, realism, a white hot crowd, and an AMAZING finish.

Punk vs. Cena. I first saw the match on Dailymotion and my jaw was agape during most of Punk's entrance at how ridiculously hot the crowd was. Add that to a fantastic match with a great story to tell and an incredible angle leading into it, and you have a masterpiece.
