Wow, you guys are really going through my entire childhood into adolescence with some of these gems. I remember after Cheers ended there were a number of attempts to recreate that same sort of setting. One was called Cafe Americain and took place in French cafe... I had to google the names and didn't recall either of them being any good. No show can be bad if it features Valerie Bertinelli! I refuse to believe it. I loved that show.

Does Unhappily Ever After count? no, it ran for 100 episodes and 5 seasons. I always thought NED & STACEY was a great show that most people didn't watch. Loved it. Also, really enjoyed Boston Common. A young Traylor Howard, and Anthony Clark was so good in this role before he moved onto Yes, Dear.

How about the long lived but forgotten shows?
Rules of Engagement? According to Jim? Yes, Dear?

I remember Boston Common. What about The Loop and Quintuplets, both starring the beautiful Sarah Wright (with the last name Mason then)? Quintuplets also had that dude who just killed his land lady and died. Also, Mad Love had a great cast, but was never able to get off the ground, kind of like Up All Night.

That's My Bush and Shasty McNasty were my favorite short lived sitcoms.

I am willing to bet that if Reba had been on CBS or ABC it would still be on (a viewpoint that the head of the production company for the show also holds). It boggles the mind how badly CW bungled handling the show. It had over 4 million viewers each week with its final season, numbers that CW probably should have been quite pleased over. That meant that only Top Model, Smackdown, and Smallville got better ratings on CW than Reba did and Reba was both cheaper than Smackdown and Smallville but was also an international hit apparently.
