Beats Sakamoto's deal; 2 bags a flour, 12 yards of yarn and a can of bean with bacon soup.

If this is true, Tensai has no business making five times as much as Zack Ryder. Uhm... why? Tensai's been in the business a lot longer than Zack, and he's accomplished a lot more at this time. That's just how these sorts of things work: if you have more experience and more accomplishments, you get paid more money. Note the veteran minimum salaries in (American, at least) pro sports. Besides, Zack's probably making a lot more than Tensai on merch anyway (especially if he's getting a bonus for high sales), so it's probably not as wide of a gap. Besides, Zack's going to get the chance to pass Tensai. He's much closer to his peak, which he hasn't even hit yet. Also, I find it interesting Cena doesn't get a bus. (I'll let everyone else make the joke about the banging and the busing and the Divas roster.)

John Cena could not show up for a year and still be the highest paid wrestler on the roster.

No wonder Sheamus had no problem with that half a million dollar fine for kicking the referee.

So once beth is gone EVE will not only be earning the most but also the only diva with first class privileges and on a 5yr deal. That gets to me a just a bit. Eve's the promotional work/PR Diva. She's the one the WWE sends out the most to promote stuff. Hell her and Kane just did promotional tour in India a few weeks ago. So her contract does make sense. I'm surprised that Kofi makes that little compared to everyone else.

With Tensai, if he's being paid that much, I would find a way to use him better. The gimmick flopped, but the guy is a beast an still pretty talented.

The most surprising is honestly Orton, who I figured for sure would be making way more than that. I'm a bit surprised that he has high merchandise sales. I know he get loud reactions from the crowds, but off the top of my head, I can't recall a single recent Orton shirt design. Is the downside renegotiated often? I mean, let's say WWE signs two relatively unknown wrestlers to similar 3 year deals, and after two years, one of them appears on every third Superstars, while the other is a midcarder who wrestles every week on Raw. The midcarder will get more bonuses, but does the downside change as well?

I figured Miz, being somewhat of a "celebrity", would make a bit more or have more perks. She's called Maryse

I could swear he usually comes to the ring with merch on (maybe not since the return from Wellness as much), but I can't remember a single one since 2010 since they tend to be the more generic Affliction style ones with gas masks and skulls everywhere. He also had a DVD collection recently as well.

I call BS on a lot of these. A guy like Tensai has never been a draw and when he returned would have very little negotiating power. WWE wouldn't just give him $500 000 for the hell of it.

How the hell is Khali making that much money? I can't even remember the last time he's been on TV, and when he is, he's pretty much used as a giant jobber.

'Being a draw' is something most people here have no actual clue about. It's a subjective term and shouldn't be treated as fact.

Yeah, is there any sort of concrete proof that some internet writer didn't just pull these numbers out of his/her ass?

I'm not so sure about that, he must have been making good money in Japan so I doubt he'd even have considered a low offer. Plus he was coming in as a guy that could beat Punk and Cena, it just didn't work out.

Was pretty big in Japan. So he was probably making okay money and enjoying himself over there, not to mention probably living there. They hired him to be a main eventer, his getting on a bit in age. He also trained at the same school as Triple H. I'm not saying that they couldn't of gotten him cheaper but to act like he had little negotiation power or value simply isn't true.
