With Christopher Nolan's series apparently ending very shortly (I am not sure of the release date tbh), I am wondering what the Fan-Nation would do if they were put in charge of a Batman film franchise.
How would you treat it? Serious or campy? Who would you cast to play Batman? What villians? Who plays them? What stories would you use (please give details for those of us who are not as familiar with the comic series)?

I'd make it like Die Hard, mostly serious with bits of humor here and there.
As far as casting, I think Christian Bale works well enough as is, but I'm not sure who could replace him.
I'd do a movie which does Mr. Freeze justice and maybe have the Riddler as a side villian.

Campy as hell, because it's the only way we'll get Clayface on the big screen.

Batman vs Sherlock Holmes in a strange sci-fi thriller involving a time travel machine and some sort of serial killer where the two begin to suspect the other of being the serial killer due to both of them being as messed up as the serial killer. This would result in a Death Note-like psychological battle.
Then at the end the serial killer would be actually the joint work of Moriarty and the joker who did it just because.

Campy as hell, because it's the only way we'll get Clayface on the big screen. Would this ever happen? People can point to Bane as a guy who isn't exactly mainstream for a Batman villain, but I still attest that WB only complied as long as they put someone like Catwoman in there to counterbalance it. While it COULD happen, I highly doubt it ever will. If they relaunch the movies, they're going to go for the same villains as the Burton/Shumacher/Nolan movies did, unless whoever takes the realm proves that he's just as capable as a box office draw. Don't get me wrong, I like Clayface, and really think his story arc was great in TAS, but at the same time, I think he was too tragic of a character to give his own movie. Not only that, you just know they'd go completely overboard with the damn CGI much like they did with Spiderman. Barring that Nolan kills off Batman (not likely, but not a stretch), I wouldn't mind if they continued the "story" in a loose manner the same way that Shumacher did after the Burton movies, except without the dumbing down aspect. I think the "Nolan universe" could still continue with at least 2 more movies with villains like Penguin, Ridder, Talia, and Hugo Strange.

I'd make it a mixture of both really dark Batman and campy Batman. 'Cause I want Robin to be in the next series of movies. I don't think you can have Robin without a bit of camp
As for who I think they should cast as Batman, Joe Manganiello has kind of a Bruce Wayne look to him.
I think they should mix up the Robin storyline by giving him certain elements from Dick Grayson's, Tim Drake, and Jason Todd's version. Sorta put all the Robins in a blender mix it up to come up with 1 Super-Robin.
I'd like them to get a young kid of around 11-13 and show his growth throughout the series until he becomes Nightwing as an adult.
As for Villains, I'd like to see Clayface, maybe Mr. Freeze.

Burton/TAS
Dark & Fantastical but not overly campy
I'd use Mr Freeze and give him the treatment he deserves

If it's an already established Batman with like Burton's first Batman film then I really think Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Deadwood, the bad guy in Die Hard 4) should play Bruce Wayne.
I do like Nolan's grounded in reality feel. But I would like to see a film like The Animated Series or the Arkham games.

Considering the reboot is solely so they can put Batman in a Justice League movie, it just needs to be more fantastic than the ultra-realistic portrayal we got from the Dark Knight movies.
Like some people have said, Clayface would be awesome, especially with how far CGI has come.
But not campy. Just because it's not super-duper serious the way the Dark Knight movies were doesn't mean it automatically has to be Adam West or Batman & Robin again. There is a middle ground.

Just....calm down on the SRS. That's all I would do. Still keep it fairly dark, but with some kind of a sense of humor.

Something like TAS or Arkham Series in movie form. If Marvel can do it (IMO) then no reason DC can't. Just....calm down on the SRS. That's all I would do. Still keep it fairly dark, but with some kind of a sense of humor. This as well.

I do like Nolan's grounded in reality feel. But I would like to see a film like The Animated Series or the Arkham games. Seconded. The Arkham games in particular struck the best balance between the fantastical elements of Batman and gritty realism.

I hope they let the concept rest for a bit. use a new Batman in your (probably awful) JLA movie if you must, but it'll be too soon after Nolan's 3rd and final film to reboot Batman.

The Arkham games in particular struck the best balance between the fantastical elements of Batman and gritty realism. Pretty much. Hell, do that, do Arkham Asylum as a movie, see how it goes. MAYBE cut out the Croc subplot for time, and only mention or show Bane in passing as an explanation for Titan, and I think it would work amazingly.

Bruce Wayne, yes..but just can't picture him in the Batsuit.

Do the "Bruce Wayne" TV show that "Smallville" originally was supposed to be.
