Maybe
Just maybe...
Somehow...
This will lead to the original theatrical cuts of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi being released on Blu Ray with new 4K transfers?

As badly as Lucas has mismanaged his franchises for the past five to ten years, I'm not sure if this is an improvement or if this means Star Wars is done for good. That's my problem, I can't figure out if I think this is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm just stunned by this news.

Knowing that rat, he put a clause in there saying that they in no way can reinterpret the movies that he has already edited to his benefit.

Could be the best thing for Star Wars to be completely honest.

I would bet money that all the hardcore Star Wars fans would still find a way to shit all over it. There is no fanbase in the world that seems to wallow in their own childish tantrums more.

I'm convinced this was the only way for Disney to be able to release season 4 of the Muppet Show on DVD lol

Calm down, people. Disney also released Pulp Fiction. This also means George is completely out the door now and won't have creative control anymore. I've always thought him dying would be the best thing that could happen to the franchise, this might be the next best thing.

I'm... Kinda okay with this. It's not a bad idea at least to continue on the story if it's a solid plot. Disney's usually good with that kind of thing, right?
