Are there any other 3rd party rides/attractions at Disney that they do not flat out own yet? They had Muppets...then bought it Star Wars...Bought it. Any other? I'm sure George is possibly holding out on Indy for fear it might strain his relationship with Spielberg. Of course with Disney already owning Marvel, the only big thing left for them to pick up IMO would be DC...now that would be insane.

I'm... Kinda okay with this. It's not a bad idea at least to continue on the story if it's a solid plot. Disney's usually good with that kind of thing, right? You mean a 20+ year old franchise? Tron Legacy?

What shocks me the most is that Lucas actually sold his "baby".
Granted he's been abusing the baby for years, so maybe this is a case of Disney being CPS and can bring us better things.
Or Disney is going to end up being an abusing foster home and is going to release the new trilogy with nothing but Jar Jar Binks-esque characters.
This is not a bit of news I ever expected to see but if it's to belong to someone else I guess Disney would be the way to go.

you know, if they opened a Disney Star Wars theme park in Florida that just might be their "Harry Potter killer"

f*** that. They're gonna bury it deep inside the Disney vault. Along with Jim Henson. He wouldn't sell! Anyway, I think the next big thing for Disney to buy is Hasbro.

Disney obviously has the cash. Time to put the screws to Sony and Fox, to get back Spider-man, FF & X-Men.

I wonder what it means for the books and comics, will they end up like the Star Trek ones where they don't count or will Disney keep up the practice of "Until it gets overridden on screen it counts"?

Don't say it isn't possible. It's not as if Warner hasn't had financial troubles in the past. Hell, look back to the early 80's...Disney was considered to be sold to Jim Henson Company...and look how that turned out.

Not sure how I feel about the new movie. The Star Wars movie story was told. This could easily be the postscript season from hell.

Cue the "Disney/Lucas is gonna rape what's left of my childhood" complaints from the diehard fanboys.

"That will be followed by Episodes 8 and 9 and then one new movie every two or three years, the company said."
BBC just posted. Maybe we'll finally see Boba Fett: The Movie

first shot of the movie is Boba Fett crawling out of the Sarlacc pit and nonchalantly brushing sand off his shoulder
*Edit*
I was referring to Episode 7. It's funny how someone posted about a Boba Fett movie just before my comment though lol
