Stampede '94 is fantastic. That and Slamboree '94 back-to-back are one of my all time favorite consecutive wrestling show combos. I think it would be great if the one chance we're allowed to talk politics on this board turned into another thread about pro wrestling. ;D

I'm Canadian, so this election affects me far more differently than it does Americans. Last time I did a U.S. political compass map, I was to the far left of everyone. I'd vote Obama if I lived in a swing state, otherwise I'd vote Green or refuse my vote. I'm spending my day reading Slavoj Žižek's newest book about the political protests of 2011 while checking the results every once and awhile.

Voted for Obama, not that it matters given where I live. But where my heart truly lies... {Spoiler}

I'm voting Libertarian. I supported Gary Johnson back when he was still a Republican, and he remained the only candidate who I agree with both socially and economically.

Has there ever actually been a case of the electoral college going against the actual public vote?

I voted a few hours ago. I had to take the commuter rail into my polling place AND pay for two taxi rides. On top of that I didn't even get an "I Voted" sticker. What a rip off!

I voted for McCain last time, and I agree with Romney as the Republican nominee, but I want Obama to stay the President.

I've been pleased with Obama's work, so I voted again. Unfortunately, being in 'Bama, it doesn't count.

Vote for Admiral Ackbar. He knows when it's a trap.
In physical reality land. It's Jill Stein.

In my small neighborhood, there are 15 Romney signs and 2 Obama ones. Personally, I hope Obama wins.

I voted. I don't remember if I voted in 2008. I do remember watching ECW that night though.

Obama. The only upside I see to a Romney victory is a vaguely possible four years of gradual pushback against the government's excesses and ills as a whole as his supporters wake up to reality now that no one else is to blame. The downsides outweigh that IMO.
I wish there were more 3rd party candidates in local elections. I'll gladly vote Green or Justice on the local levels, but they simply aren't there. They need to gain people's trust on that level and work their way up. Even then though, sign me up for Ranged Voting or Instant Runoff Voting. They won't solve all of our two party system problems, but they provide better incentive to vote for lesser parties.

This, like every election, takes me back to my first election; I was coming around the bend to age 19 in Decembet, and there I was for my first election. I got to exercise my civic duty. And I voted for Kerry. A lesson in disappointment that I carry with me every 2 years.

I almost didn't even vote. Not excited about either candidate.
I won't bore people with my personal opinions about our 2 party system but like the poster above I would definitely like to see more parties establish themselves at the level needed to really make a run at high end federal positions. With only 2 parties what you end up with is the political party as a substitute for thought, where once you agree on some positions you get dragged along with the rest. Then over the course of their lives people start actually thinking they believe in everything a party stands for.
Talk to someone in their 60s that's voted for the same party all their life. Try to get them to say some negative things about that party, you'll usually have trouble. Try the same thing with someone that's in their 20s or 30s, you'll find you get a quite different response even if they hate the other party.
