wrestlers come to the ring and give 20 minute promos all the time. No reason to rush him out of the ring He was scheduled for a match and had it, he then decided to take the show hostage until his demands were met, beat up innocent security who literally did nothing, got his demands met in return for leaving and then still refused to leave until he told her to shut up 5 or 6 more times. All the while Vickie has a show to put on and is losing time because of Ryback's temper tantrum.

the problem with Cena and Sheamus isn't that they do bad things. it's the particular things they do (beating up a defenseless Michael Cole, being anti-semitic) that pisses people off. Ryback did neither of those things last night, he just did a great job of selling being pissed off.

All babyfaces should act like Bret Hart. He wasn't a pussy, but wasnt a jerkoff either. And he didn't make lame jokes, didn't act smug, realized he was the best but didn't come off like a braggart, talked when he needed to but mostly did that in the ring. And he didn't just steamroll everybody, made everyone look legit and tough to beat. Dude was the perfect babyface. I know it's not necessarily what sells, but dammit he did it right. I never thought about it like that before, but you're right. Bret had the right combination of what a major face should be. for that matter, so did Hogan and the Rock. yeah Rocky would bury people on the mic, but then he always went out of his way to make them look like a million bucks when they wrestled. that's something WWE doesn't get. what use is beating a guy you've already made look like a scrub on the mic?

It was Ryback giving the fans what they wanted, not her. The crowd was happy that Ryback got his title shot and probably enjoyed someone telling Vickie to shut up. So the only person who suffered was the most hated person on the roster, and her flunkies. Boo hoo. In the Punk/McMahon storyline earlier last month we were supposed to root for THE MOST reprehensible person in the company in Mr. McMahon, but people's reply to over a decade of Vince being completely evil - "But he's good now because...well, people should just like him."

We know he's not gonna deliver a promo like Punk or the Rock, so I've been pretty pleased with what we've got so far. He doesn't need to talk very often.

Boo hoo. Vickie isn't hated because she's evil; she's hated because she dared to be a woman and older than 30. Watching that segment last night, Vickie never did anything remotely heel-like, and unless I'm forgetting, she hasn't since she managed Dolph (and even then, the worst she ever did was get up on the apron to distract the ref... they even kind of praised her for her loyalty to him when they were tweening Ziggler). It requires very enormous leaps in logic to see her as the bad guy, here. It requires such a huge leap in logic to see the security guards as bad that I think it's completely impossible. And Ryback continues just to be good because he's strong and mean. This whole thing is just weird.

He was pissed. I get it. Hearing someone finally tell her to shut up with intensity was long overdue. I felt he was legitimately angry. It reminds me of the incredible Hulk. He's pissed and destroys everything and everyone, but hes still a good guy.
I for one thoroughly enjoyed it.

Vickie does nothing heelish? Are you watching with a blindfold on? ...I guess I have. Maybe I'm looking at the whole AJ thing differently than I'm supposed to? It still has no bearing on the Ryback confrontation, though. Even if she was evil, why is it satisfying for someone not affected by her evil to tell her off? Every Vickie scene is uncomfortable to watch.

What Ryback does on the mic is good. Funny enough it's the same stuff Goldberg did most of the time, which also worked.

I will say that he was ten times better last night then he has been; as long as we keep him from speaking in terrible food anologies then he's fine.
