DO you or DON'T you like Big Show and/or Kane? It seems like every other week, they're either being praised or totally crapped on.
This brings me to my next thought. It's more than obvious that a lot of people out there aren't too fond of the big men, but don't you think everyone's being a little hard on them? Should we really blame them for being naturally big and then being given the chance to fulfill their dream of being a wrestler? And I don't want people saying that they've been blaming the bookers/writers the entire time for not using smaller guys; I know there are plenty of people out there who've totally crapped on wrestlers just because they're big.

I like a Hoss if he's a talented Hoss or a charasmatic Hoss. If he's just a Hoss, me no likey. Show I can enjoy because, if he's allowed to have a mic, he can be damn funny. Tomko for instance, is not.

Oh please stop referring to us as one collective, obnoxious group of smarks rather than individuals.
For instance, "before, you liked Kane and Show. Now, you hate them!!"
Very annoying.

Big Show is done. D-U-N, done. Granted he never was that good in the first place but he's just plain sloppy now.
As for the rest of the hosses go, I can't think of one that is entertaining. And since these are the guys that are getting pushed that means they'll get air time at PPV's. Yeah, that'll set the world on fire. Three moves and grimacing. Big whoop.

Okay, fair enough. My bad. But you've got to admit that there are a lot of people out there who really need to loosen up a bit.

WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH WOAH!!!
Hold up there, buckaroo.
"Naturally"? I wouldn't be too sure in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I rarely have uses for hosses, but, hey, if you can find a hoss who can A) sell a bit, B) not move like he's made of glue, and C) knows how to play his character and build a match in the process, then I really can't complain too much. I enjoy Abyss as a monster heel, mainly because he's at least decent at those three things, for example.

When Show can't move (and not "move like glue"), he can become an on-screen non-wrestler. The guy is genuinely funny and he truly seems like he enjoys being there.
As far as Tomko goes, he's great...when you have someone to have him bounce off on. Even if the other guy is Snitsky, his "hossitude" really shines through as a contrast with the other more flamboyant personalities, and it makes for great skits.
Honestly, I'd rather they keep good mic hosses than, say, Bobby Lashley.
Or Brock Lesnar (even though he had matwrestling skillz~, he couldn't speak for shit).

When comparing him to his team at the 2003 Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar looked really small.
Also, just so we're all clear, could someone please give us all the proper definition of a hoss?

When comparing him to his team at the 2003 Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar looked really small. Don't remind me, I ordered that PPV...I regretted it (along with 2 of my friends). What I meant was that most hosses can't get over with mic time, thus the E pushes them by squashing jobbers...which has been done so much it's lost it's style.

Hoss is mostly a derogatory term for a big man wrestler. Usually means very large, slow, green, and really just not a treat to watch. However, it has since grown to describe all big men, talented or not.

However, it has since grown to describe all big men, talented or not. Pretty much, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned Lesnar. Although when we're talking about mic talent, 99% of hosses can't do it. The few that can are not permitted to do it.

Its been discussed before, but there is a difference between a hoss and an entertaining hoss. Big Show and Kane are entertaining hosses. Snitsky and Tomko WERE just your regular, boring, hoss until they paired up and started doing some backstage skits and made themselves interesting, with some comedic spots.
