Ryder wanted the U.S. title more then anything, I would think he would do everything he could to kick out of Swagger's finishers.
I saw nothing wrong with it.

I didn't mind as it wasn't a long match so he wasn't taking that much punishment before he tried the GPB. I wish he would've grabbed the ropes the first time though.

An injured Zack Ryder who gets no offense in should not have kicked out of the first Gutwrench, let alone two. I really can't buy Cena or Eve saying that Ryder was in no condition to wrestle when he was able to kick out of his opponent's finisher twice. An therein lies the issue: I, for one, have no problem with a face kicking out of one, even two, finishers. But when the over-arching storyline hinges on that same Superstar apparently being "medically unfit to perform", it goes from great storytelling to just being ridiculous.

It's not like Swagger is credible at all. He's a complete joke and it makes sense he cannot beat people, even injured ones. Good thing they put the belt on him then.

I love how every resiliant baby face is immediately called "Super ____ " now... Its because it happens the moment they become faces. Its funny, and I kinda love it. Orton used to hide behind people. Sheamus was running away from guys. Punk was a little bitch at one point. Now they say f*** it and kick out of finishers. It all starts when you team up with Cena. See, to me the "become more resiliant once they turn face" thing makes sense. Heels have the crowd booing them (generally at least) and they're not supposed to care about pleasing them, but faces have thousands of fans egging them on and likely the desire to not let them down. You're gonna work harder at something if a group of people are supporting you. This is true in real life. It's why I never had much of an issue with Hogan "Hulking Up". He was running on the cheers of the crowd and channeling it into adrenaline.

This is a minute detail and has zero bearing on the current story. As if Swagger has looked strong lately save for deadlifting A-Ry. He'll most likely drop the belt back to Ryder at the Rumble.

I love how every resiliant baby face is immediately called "Super ____ " now... I love that too. The IWC obvious doesn´t want faces to booked strong.
